Daniel 12:7 Scatter The Power Of The Holy People. What Does It Mean? by Akanniade(m): 1:39am On May 13, 2013
Was meditating on the book of daniel and got stuck on that verse. Bible scholars help out.

Daniel 12:7
King James Version (KJV)
7 And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.

to scatter the power of the saints...the power of the saints is inherent in their fellowships..so Google more....type the word, you will see enough meaning....all is about the reign of the Antichrist which is time of tribulation..

The holy people are the Israelites, that verse is about their defeat and dispersal by the Romans:

Revelation 12:14
And to the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.

Israel is the woman that was given the wings of the eagle, God likens Israel to a comely and beautiful woman Jeremiah 6:2, Jeremiah 31:2.
Nigeria is the wilderness that is hosting the largest population of ancient Israelites in the world, like king Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon, they have been reduced to beasts, eating grass like beasts. They do not produce, but they are consumers, in the time of their devolution and sojourn in the wilderness, they will be fed from the face (through the favour) of the serpent. It is the decree of The Most High that the serpent must feed her, when she begins to experience hardship because the serpent is refusing to feed her well, Her Husband will intervene. She must be fed, or else the dominion of the serpent over her is OVER.

Nigeria is not presently being well fed, she is in economic straits, Her husband, The Husband of Israel will soon intervene to help His wife. Economic hardship in Nigeria is a sign of end times.

The verse deals with the persecution of the Jewish nation. During the great tribulation after the rapture of the church. Only 144,000 of them shall survive .

No. The great tribulation is the dispersal of Israel into the wilderness, Nigeria is one of the wilderness, and Israel is presently in tribulation. 144,000 Jews are the firstfruits of Israel, meaning they will be the first to rise up from the mental death that Israel died. Then others will rise up when Christ returns. The firstfruits are only Israelites, the latter fruit are Israel and gentiles.
1 Corinthians 15:20, 23

Take your focus off the Israelis and put that focus on yourself, the Israelis are not the Israelites of the Bible. Israel is dispersed, only to be regathered when Christ comes. Oduduwa, progenitor of the Yoruba was said to come from heaven, it is an allegory of the devolution of Israel, of the conquest of Israel. And a fulfilment of the Scriptures Deuteronomy 32:26

Lamentations 2:1
How hath the LORD covered the daughter of Zion, with a cloud in his anger, and cast down from heaven unto the earth the beauty of Israel and remembered not his footstool in the day of his anger!

The book of Roman didn't say such things as you quoted above . I believe you meant to type revelation chapter 12

Thanks for the correction. Help correct it in your quote too smiley

God Himself said He would destroy the Jewish nation— The nation of Judea — and this was heralded by the arrival of Jesus Christ. undecided
