Over 180,000 Teens Living With HIV In Nigeria - UNICEF

ABUJA, May 15 (Bernama) -- More than 180,000 teenagers are living with HIV in Nigeria, the United Nations Children Education Fund (UNICEF) said.

The latest figure was released during a national dialogue on adolescents living with HIV in Nigeria, Xinhua news agency reported.

Although Nigeria has carried out much prevention work for youths, more work is needed to address the needs of adolescents living with HIV.

The dialogue was organised by the Positive Action for Treatment Access (PATA) in collaboration with UNICEF and non-governmental organisation National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA).

This is true and i think it is more, considering the rate our teens are exposed to the internet porn using their phone, being a virgin is nolonger a pride to the girls, rather we have miss hot leg pageant queen, miss silver bird and all ar teen being exploited by the judges. I pray they find cure sharp because the reality in this, is that as long as u find any girl attractive, u ar prone to it.

180,000 in Nigeria or in a state? out of about 80,000,000 teens, that's 0.23% of teen population, that must be that we are getting better or they have been lying before.

the figure is true statistics from hospital in nigeria is what they are using most nigeria hospital conduct secret Hiv/aids test on patient so be careful the figure is true and could be higher as 80percent of nigerians prefer over counter drugs than hospital
