the President just made it easier, all we need do now is to develop an outline of all sectors, and probably rate on a scale of 10, starting from our the sectors were 2yrs ago, if we are truthful to ourselves we will see that although a lots stl need to be done (which most are ongoing), there have been a tremendous difference and change in major sectors.

I would have prefered a kinda "state of the union" address ...instead of this "aso ebi" circus.

I was partially happy with the rest until Okonjo Iweala lied outrageously "that 65% of Nigerians now have access to portable water"

That lady's 2nd name should changed to lion cos of that lie.

Re: Rate The President's Mid-term Report by texazzpete(m): 3:57pm On May 29, 2013
As expected, the report was extremely light on security, failed to mention any concrete steps to fight corruption. It's not about grand speeches and grand phrases...how many people have been convicted by the efforts of the EFCC and ICPC in the past few years? Instead public confidence is eroded by his shameless fraternity with the likes of Anenih and Bode george.
He indulges in serious chest beating over airport renovation, forgetting to mention that airfares are now much higher and his Govt gets much more in taxes + FAAN levy. The renovation work as seen at the new Lagos GAT terminal is sometimes poorly done.
Under GEJ, his Niger delta buddies bunker 150,000 barrels of oil daily. Those are oil volumes and money that is denied to taxpayers and our future generations...and presido doesn't care one bit.

Chest beating over power improvement, conveniently failing to mention that they are way behind the power generation targets they set and budgeted money for. Promise 6000MW, collect money for that purpose and deliver 4500MW then go around beating your chest you've achieved an all time high. That's hilarious.
There are positives in GEJ's work, but the negatives are Damn too many for the discerning folks to shout Uhuru.

GEJ Mid term Assessment My view

95% Aviation( upgrade of terminals commendable, new int and cargo Airport)

80% Rail transport ( rehabilitation of rail lines
, new coaches and improvement of services .

60 % Water transpor (inland ports completion of dredging)

65 % Roads (improved road network, less potholes on highways )

70 % Agriculture ( rice, and cassava revolution and increased dry season farming)

39 % Power (low harvest of generated power outages still rampant, outrageous bills, nonchalant workers of PHCN, un maintained and overloaded transformers etc )

50 % security( SOE commendable, kidnapping still rampant. Less Robbery incidence )

80% foreign investment (increased FDI now 1st in africa despite security challenges )

50% Ports operations (48 hours cargo clearance target not met ,corrupt customs officers harassing road users on transit )

70 % Healthcare( less labour acrimony. And improved service delivery,MCHC, save 1 million lives project etc )

75% Labour ( improved minimum wage , pensions payments,recruitment's)

50% Petroleum sector (increased refining capacity at 10.2 million litres daily, but bunkering still thrives
with attendant environmental issues , Nil fuel scarcity )

65% Economic growth and stability
( Over $50 billion in reserves ,real strong bank courtesy of CBN reforms)

49% Corruption ( improvement needed, less high profile conviction to date, pardon of Alams dampened the spirit anti corruption crusade )

95% press freedom.( Excellent working climate even though abused by some )

91% Electoral reforms( SIEC needs to take cue less interference )

50 % Housing .(FMBN need to speed up constructions in states where housing project are on going . Too slow )

Let them atleast show us sample of finished project like Lekki-Ikoyi link bridge in Lagos and stop telling stories.

Great presidents are made great by
horrible circumstances combined with character, temperament and
intelligence.
The greater point about Jonathan is
that in the midst of our worldwide
financial meltdown, an expanding
Boko Haram ,oil theft ,Piracy,Kidnappings,Armed Robberies,Bribery and corruption etc, facing a general loss of confidence in the government that has been exacerbated by the opposition doing all they can to undermine our government’s capabilities and programs… President Jonathan has taken on the leadership of our country at a make or break time of historic proportions. He faces not one but dozens of crisis, each big enough to define any presidency in better times.
We have watched Jonathan
respond in a quiet reasoned manner to crisis after crisis, in both the way he has responded after being attacked and lied about , to his reasoned response to our multiplying national crises.
Our country has rarely faced more uncertainty. This is the time for greatness. We have a great leader. We must be a great people backing him, fighting for him, sacrificing for a cause greater than ourselves.
