I mean no harm neither do my comment convey any spite. I mean you should have your mechanic visit Mgbuka In Onitsha to source the parts for you.

I eventually found a good radio technician who fix it.. Works well now.
Thanks

Pls house, any tike I turn my fx35 2006 model steering I always hear a noise from the engine area. Mechanic said I need to replace the steering pump and steering rack. Any idea on what it might cost me and also if actually the steering pump is the cause of the noise.

The gear is bad..
I have same issue with my and it took all my savings because mechanic didn't know what to do.. I had to change the gear box and at ladipo I was given fake gear box. In short I was frustrated. When engine smokes, just change the ring.. A good mechanic can do that, not the engine...

Is your car Nissan Altima 2002?

You're completely misinformed. Don't come arguing if you don't know what you're talking about. You obviously have no idea the difference between the cars, so you have no valuable advice to offer on the issue.

And yes, there's a G25. Whether you want to call it what it is or not is completely irrelevant. You're entitled to your own opinions, not your own facts.

I have a G25x enroute that I plan to sell, but reading about the car, am considering owning it. However the spec recommends premium fuel, please is this the normal fuel in naija? and what's your view about performance and maintenance of a 2012 G25x? Will be my first Nissan if I eventually don't sell

The G25 isn't a bad car, but there are much better cars out there. I would not recommend. You miss out on everything that makes the G37 special, which is that engine.

However, if it didn't cost you much, and you don't care about the lackluster V6 on the G25, it's fine. It's still a comfortable car that can be well-equipped and has plenty of presence.

Thanks, coming from a 2010 Camry I expect the speed would be better than that not that I max out that of Camry anyway so not quite keep on speed. However the fuel requirement is what caught my attention most in terms of maintenance. How is the parts like in terms of cost? I will need a front bumper replacement for instance. Looking from a distance the 37x and 25x bumper look similar, are they interchangeable?

A Camry V6 will be more powerful. The G25x is more similar to the IS250 and C300.

Bumpers are almost definitely direct swaps at least.

VQ35DE cost anywhere between 170-220k depending on location and source of parts.

You go press spoil button for that car engine?

That engine reach 350- 400k for Abuja (Zuba or Apo)

Steering pump shouldn't make noise like that. It's the rack. Is the Steering wheel getting had to turn and is it leaking oil?

I don't know the cost but for a Toyota RAV4 I was given 25k.

Nissan 2001/2002

Anyone with idea of back absorber price?
Re: Official Nissan & Infiniti Thread by smartistics(m): 11:23pm On Dec 18, 2020
Hope you got this fixed. If not you should be able to specify the type of noise. If it's a whinning noise as you turn the wheel, it is the pump, steering rack don't make noise when going bad. You can make a sharp turning to test the performance of your steering rack, the wheel should recenter but if stayed at the turning angle more than 5secs the rack is acting up then. Also remember to check for leaks bro.

Have you tried bringing out the pump and clean the gauge with only petrol and light tooth brush, when dirty at times it won't work with dirt on the surface. Also stop running the car with low level of fuel, It is the major cause of this or you need to clean your fuel tank.

The TCM eeprom need to be flash to work well with the new transmission. Replacing it might not solve the problem except you are lucky getting one that match. Check the TCM relay and fuse first for short. Sorry I don't understand why Nissan made that to be.

If Eeprom issue is your case, it requires advance level of auto transmission programmer to do that. Are you using the old valve body with the new transmission?
