Sorry to chip in but you should know that it is not the best to breed a dog on her 1st heat. She is still a puppy developing then. Ideally you should wait till she's 2yrs but if you must at least the 2nd heat will probably occur when she's well over 1 year. This will also help ensure she has healthy puppies that will survive.

I should know? Emary please, I am NOT a dog breeder. I have never bred dogs in my life but I have owned dogs since childhood. I went on an AMERICAN rottweiler forum and American Rottweiler breeders are the ones who suggested the information I provided to Kingsley989. I equally provided the internet site's link where I obtained the info from. I also stated that it varies from dog to dog. Some Rottweilers go into heat when they are older than 12 months.
