Had my first child some months ago. While preg, I noticed stretch marks appearing by the 7th month. Dint knw wat to do or if to use any creams. Thought they'l fade away after birth but its 3months now after my baby n d UGLY marks are still dere. Any tried n tested means of getting rid of them?
My hubby doesn't like dem at all.

You might try cocoa butter or coconut oil. It will help over time, but not completely fade them.

use shea butter mixed with bio-oil, it work very fast nd neat

I had the same issue,,i use coco butter creme for pregnancy strech mark..but is good to start early

I ditched the bio-oil for shea butter (ori) which i have used thruought my second pregnancy till now. Still have all the ugly black marks. None have faded.

guess it's sometin I'll av to live with then *sad though*. Lookin at my belly everytime makes me feel bad but when I look at d 'bros' dat caused it, am so happy n proud.

Cocoa butter is great in prevention,started using it with my first pregnancy (few weeks into the pregnancy , hence no stretch marks occurred at all . I always tell first time mum to start using it as soon as they test positive but most never heeded anyway . Once it has occurred, removing it is a long story without laser removal.

I never knew one could do anything to prevent it until much ltr when it appeared n I googled it,wud av taken steps to prevent it. Laser removal? Not a chance! D risks r damn too much 4 a 'fear fear' like me

I doubt if exercise will make dem go ooo. Those marks are damn stubborn. Black ugly things. My mum had them too yl preg so mayb its hereditary like u said.

It can be prevented if prevention was started early,palmers cocoa butter is cheap and effective when you talk of preventive measures.Am on my third missionary journey and still zebra strip free.

I never had it.my mum didn't hv it. Said that her mum didn't 2. Really thank God for that one.
It will really look bter when there is less fat and saggy stomach that's why I recommended exercise. Chec out those celebrities in d west,most of them had it but they toned back d body to b4 preg body and with d necessary cream,u can hardly c them.
I think that if one has such body,one should start early like byvan said.

My dear most celebrities go for laser removal after they have toned there bodies with exercise,western celebrities are always eager to go extremes for physical perfection.Try laser in Naija,you fit carry swollen tummy go ,not just stretchmarks.

Bio oil is damn expensive&does nothing til u use it til lik yrs.I used shea butter (ori)&mixed it wit glycerine oil.It worked 4me but not immediately.It took a very long tym.Its al abt patience

Av started using olive oil only as someone advised though it can take years to fade away. If I keep up n I don't c impvts, notin do me. Life goes on.
