The wealthy, childless widow of the Italian property tycoon took great care of this beautiful black feline with all her heart and obscenely large amount of money. When she died in December 2011, she transferred her $13 million net worth to Tommaso including all her cash and real estate in Rome, Milan and Calabria, Italy. She even asked her lawyers to identify an animal welfare association or group to which to leave the estate and the commitment of looking after Tommaso.

Claimed by the Guinness Book of World Records as the richest cat in the world, Blackie inherited $25 million from rich recluse Ben Rea.
