the equator theory still doesnt explain black skin. And most black africans migrated to their current locations- nothing explaining that in the books.

polar bears actually have black skin underneath the hair. Any theories about that? why doesnt the artic fox also have the same.

@post
i ask myself the same question at age 15 a year after i realized that god is imaginary and since i know how to think for myself this is what i reasoned. If you put white bread in a toaster and toast it for a few minutes the bread becomes brown. {nearly the same colour like me} and its the HEAT from the toaster that makes it brown. If a white person sunbathes at a beach that persons gets what is known as suntan which means that persons skin becomes slightly darker in complexion this is as a result of the HEAT. Why do ghanian people have darker skin than we nigerians do? Its because the climate in ghana is hotter than it is in nigeria in other words its the HEAT.

Not exactly. Heat is never a guaranteed factor in the body pigmentation process. A white skin may temporairly get a brown tone when exposed to sunlight, but never black. A black man who lives in a land that has a mild climate will not go through a skin colour change either. The toaster analogy is poor. What about our coarse hair? Was that caused by the heat of the sunlight, too? Our negroid features nko? I insist that we were deliberately genetically engineered to be the way we are now from the onset. Natural evolution theory does not work.

Interestingly enough, the black skinned people on the indian subcontinent have wiry straight hair and not coarse like the black africans. Why is that? The answers to all these questions are just hidden from us, but they will come out in due time.

My friend, quit the kneejerk reaction or i will have to mistake you for a religious fundermentalist. You know very damn well that the last person to propagate religious viewpoints around here is Jenwitemi. But that does not mean that i will have to endorse the viewpoint of the "other side" (evolutionists), whose views on this issue also stink. And i do not fully  endorse the religious viewpoint on this issue, either. I have already expressed this view in my earlier post.

I am not interested in your "either or" war with your religious opponents about this issue, so do not drag me into it. I just want to know what the truth is about human origins and evolutionist explanations just does not cut it for me, and so do the religious explanations. If you want to know where my viewpoint on this lie, then watch those videos in the link i provided.
Watch the Lloyd Pye videos in which he exposed quite clearly and in great details where the loopholes are. He is the expert, not i. And he is far from being a religious man.

Sorry, if i sounded a bit harsh, but you seem to be mixing up lots of issues together. The post was about how black people got their black (actually dark brown) skin pigmentation, and i felt that lots of people had taken time to give the scientific explanation. So i thought you wanted to start another creation vs evolution debate again.

If you actually wanted to discuss other possible origin of man (homo sapiens) or why there are different races, you should have said so, and maybe started another thread in that regard.

I am not against, looking a issues from a different perspective. In fact at one phase of my life, i was highly interested in the intervention (aliens) theory. I have read most of Erik Von Daniken's books, i even downloaded, printed and studied The Thiaoouba prophecy. So you see i had really given the issue some thought.

The problem was that as my science understanding improved, i started picking wide gaping holes in these theories. If i should go into them, i will have to write a whole book. But the most obvious ones are that, It is scientifically impossible to break the distance barrier between our solar system and the next solar system capable of sustaining life. secondly, it is highly improbable that life from another planet would look exactly like we do, and can survive in our atmosphere not to talk of being able to breed, that is even if they can be beamed directly here.

I enjoyed watching the videos, and i think there might be some merit in some of his postulations, like the one about some hominids still surviving til today (even though it is yet to be conclusively proven). But to say that we (homo sapiens are not indigenous to earth to me is ridiculous. If you say not indigenous to lower and colder latitudes, i agree. But you cannot say we are not adapted to the tropics.

I will look further into Lloyd Pre's postulations and let you know.

The reason why ghanians tend to have darker skin than we nigerians is because they live in a hotter climate. The reason why most of us africans have darker skin than white europeans is because the climate is very hot all year round. Europeans have white skin because of the cold climate in winter time the weather is cold and it even snows especially in countries like norway sweden denmark and iceland

Indians live in hot climates to but unlike africa it dose snow in certain parts of the country and the weather is cold during winter time which explains thier dark skin and hair colour unlike our african hair which looks like it has been burnt due to the hot weather

BLACK SKIN IS THE GENETIC PARENT!

By:  Amon Hotep

Whites cannot reproduce anything but themselves!  Through powerful propaganda and indoctrination we have been completely oblivious to what having white skin really means.  We have been skillfully mislead to believe that white skin is mankind’s anthropological model and should be coveted.  However, recent research paints a picture of white skin that is just the antithesis of what we have been brainwashed to believe.  The polar bear analysis that was done by the Discovery Channel helps prove my point.  If you shave the hair off a polar bear, the skin beneath is black.  In nature the skin of the polar bear is black to absorb as much heat and light as possible to keep the arctic animal warm in its environment.  It is also true for the Eskimo (Inuit). Human adaptation remains an insufficiently studied part of climate and climate change.  Scientists have tried for years to prove that the environment was responsible for altering heredity.  Eskimos have brown skin.  Eskimos have broad, flat noses.  Africans have brown skin.  Africans have broad, flat noses.  Scientific studies have reported that people are dark because they live near the equator—not because they are Negroid or have a Negroid admixture. There are repeated arguments made by anthropologists when referring to Arabs being brown in color because of the equalitarian closeness.  So what about the brownness of skin that occurs in mankind who live the furthest from the equator—the Artic?  Also, the Eskimos’ nose shape does not work to explain temperature-dependencies.  Broad, flat noses are more beneficial in hot environments—Oh really! Scientifically speaking, Black objects absorb heat very well and also emit heat very well.  If heat wasn’t emitted at the same rate as was is absorbed, the black object would just get hotter and hotter until it melted.  A black beaker cools down much faster than a shiny beaker that does not absorb or emit heat well at all.  That is why snow does not melt in cold weather even when the sun is falling directly on it.  All of the incident light energy is reflected away and none (or very little) is absorbed. If black absorbs heat and light and white reflects it, how can we say that white people are adapted more to cold environments than warm?  That insinuation that white skin is a result of environmental adaptation is the same orthodox dogma that we have been spoon fed for generations, however when subjected to scientific scrutiny it doesn’t hold water.  Reports FALSELY SUGGESTED that Senegalese troops during World War I and Ethiopian troops during the Korean War showed higher rates of frostbite and frozen feet in the African soldiers than their European counterparts.  The laboratory work of the researchers also suggested that black skin tissue was more prone to cold injury; however white skin also exhibited some damage.  After further research the following was indicated:  It was SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN that samples of black skin tissue were less vulnerable to cold damage than the lighter European tissue.  This does not sound indicative of white skin being more suitable to cold climates. Caucasians have a higher concentration of enzyme inhibitors that suppress melanin production, according to Halprin & Ohkawara, 1966.  White people also have calcified pineal glands.  You may ask how does this imply that white skin is a genetic defect, The pineal gland secretes melatonin, which activates the pituitary to release M.S.H. (Melanocyte Stimulating Hormone).  It is in the melanocytes that melanin (Greek “melas”=black) is produced.  Melanin is somewhat analogous to chlorophyll in plants.  What a lot of people don’t realize is that melatonin is also related to fertility.  Those with pigmented skin have the highest counts of melanocytes in the Instruments and nipples.  The pigmentation in these areas can be influenced by sex hormones like estrogens and androgens.  During pregnancy, the nipples, face, and abdominal wall become darkened.  These areas of increased pigmentation during pregnancy are due to the increase in the production of estrogens.  Anthropologists try to account for the fact that the Instruments are darker by suggesting that protection is needed against ultraviolet radiation damage, and has been thus evolved through natural selection.  This means that protection of the Instruments against forces that may prevent reproduction was needed.  Similarly, in this view, the pigmentation of the nipples during pregnancy would be a defense against ultraviolet radiation damage to the nipples.  Supposedly, this type of protection would be needed while breast-feeding during the early evolution of humans in Africa.  According to Robins, 1991, darker pigmentation found in the genitals, may have evolved for the “protection of reproductive capacity”, in that the pigmentation protects gametes within the Instruments from ultraviolet radiation damage.  This is a direct result of why white people have the lowest birthrates of all people on the planet and are going extinct.  Their melanin deficiency is why their reproduction system does not work as efficiently as it should. Whites attribute their failure of reproduction to behavioral or societal reasons. However, the reason is more a biological one.  Melanin is present at the inception of life:  A Melanin sheath covers both the sperm and the egg!  In the human embryo, the melanocytes (skin pigment cells), brain and nerve cells all originate from the same place; the neural crest.  Melanocytes resemble nerve cells and are essential for conveying energy.  When Melanin is missing or insufficient in the ectoderm of the early embryo (blastula), this causes the mother to lose her baby; in the case of whites, a defective baby is produced, and over time, through inbreeding, wears down the already pathetically low levels of melanin.  Reproduction stops altogether and virtual infertility is the end result. As far as vitamin D metabolization, white people have the lowest bone density of all people on the planet.  The skin is supposed to convert sunlight to Vitamin D because of 7-Dehydrocholesterol.  However, white people reflect the sunlight so that the body compensates by depleting calcium from their bones.  It makes whites more susceptible to kidney stones than any other race of people.  The depletion of bone mass is responsible for their low bone density.  It is widely regarded that black people have the strongest bones of all people from infancy to old age. Melanin has been proven to not only refine the human reproductive system and nervous system, but melanin also plays an important part in sight and hearing.  Blue eyes are simply eyes that lack melanin.  Blue eyes are more sensitive to sunlight and do not process light or produce sight as efficiently as brown eyes.  Isn’t it funny how many people place divine qualities with blue eyes that are nothing but genetically defective? Melanin is also said to be linked with hearing.  Melanocytes are present in the inner ear, the eye, and in the membrane that covers the brain and spinal cord.  It has been demonstrated that melanin deposits in these areas are proportional to the amount of melanin found in the skin.  These areas of the body, similar to the skin, are exposed to high-energy free radicals that can damage the surrounding cells, and thus causes a lower threshold for hearing.  Evidence shows that black people, on average, hear better than whites, and that within both races, women surpass men.  A partial explanation of the differences may lie in the abundance in the inner ear of melanin pigments.  Also, numerous studies have found that people with light eye colors, such as blue, green, and hazel are more vulnerable to hearing damage than are people with black or brown eyes. The late renowned Anthropologist, Dr. Margaret Meade, in an experiment with indigenous Australians, Black Melanesian Islander children and white Anglo-Saxon children in the US, revealed that the “memory bank” of black children was greater and their “instant recall ability” from memory, outstanding. She, like most renowned researchers, concluded that black children have a deeper memory bank and hence higher IQ than their counterpart European and American Biochemists have attributed this great phenomenon to ‘neuro-melanin’ - a chemical responsible for black. In his book, “The Chemical Key to Black Greatness” American Biochemist, Carol Barnes, described melanin as, “a civilizing chemical that acts as a sedative to help keep the black human calm, relaxed, caring, creative, energetic and civilized”. Research also revealed that melanin enables black skin to actively interact with the sun, to produce Vitamin D from a biochemical substance, 7- dehydrocholesterol. The study also detected that, melanin has spiritual dynamics as well as physical, since it acts as a sensory ‘receptor’ and ‘transmitter’; communicating with cosmic energy fields in the vast universe converting light energy to sound energy and back. Dr. Richard King, MD, stated that, “melanin, by its ability to capture light and hold it in a memory mode, reveals that blackness converts light into knowledge”. With all of this information, we can plainly see that melanin is ESSENTIAL for the efficient performance of all of the body’s natural functions.  It seems a little ironic, that white people deem themselves genetically superior with the oxymoron of white supremacy.  There is nothing supreme about a genetic defect.  White people are merely mutated inbred albinos.  This alone adds credence to them being an inferior stock.  To feel better about themselves they develop totally senseless propaganda to flatter them and to make they feel better about their genetic condition at the expense of people of color.  The doll test, where it has been reported that both white kids and black kids prefer WHITE dolls is solely out of ignorance, that I have termed  “centuries of BRAINWASHARY.”   It has clearly been shown that white skin is actually indicative of albinism.  Albinism is a genetic defect.  Who in their right mind would prefer a genetically defective condition to one that is Nature’s normal and has been proven more efficient?  This is why we need to continue our crusade to decolonize the minds of the original genetic template (black people) to see through the nonsense propagated by white people to flatter themselves.  Total ignorance can be fought with knowledge.  A more recent tactic white people use to appease themselves is the “Implicit Association Test.”  They have devised a means to make it seem as though white people are supposed to be the most desirable people on the planet and that everyone wants to be like them and be around them.  If you can see through the nonsense, then you will know what I mean.  Would you want to be around a bunch of paranoid genetic defects with psychological problems and with intermittently inferior genes?  In a nutshell, black people, being the original genetic template are the only fully NORMAL people on the planet.  White people are albinos (recessive genetic defects) and other ethnicities are merely admixtures in between. Always remember these points, and you should never have to hold your head down to any recessive genetic defects.  All phenotypes exist within the black family.  Asian people are only the semi-recessive descendants of their ancestors who were a black African tribe with slanted eyes.  White people are the albinos of a specific group of Africans and have inherited those people’s phenotypes.  They try to imply that their phenotypes were originally theirs and that if you see people of African descent with these features, they inherited them from white people.  Nothing is further from the truth.  Blacks are the genetic parents.  Remember, whites cannot reproduce anything else but themselves.  They cannot reproduce genetic material they don’t have,  melanin.  Therefore, they cannot reproduce us, but we can reproduce them and all others in humanity. This should also convince you that all of the great civilizations from antiquity had to be started by us.  White people with their recessive genes and poorly refined reproductive systems, could not have lasted that long, seemingly that they are disappearing faster than anything now.  Breeding with us, or breeding without us.

Hi, tpia i might be able to give you and explanation, however is a little religious. As you know i am Sudanese, but i never told you my religion which is copt, however there are very few copts in Northern sudan today. However, the i am also been thinking about this questions as well, but the other way around, how come God created white people. lol. Needless to say, the answer is from Adam name himself. Some white christians mainly believe that adam name means ruddy or to show blushing, from their racist ideology only whites can blush, but we all know that all people blush regardless of skin complexion. However, in the hebrew language adam name has two meaning, it does come from the root word red, and also means mankind or humankind generally. however, i will break it down to you in hebrew, because it is a play in words.
Re: How Did Black People Become Black? by ababda: 7:19pm On Jun 13, 2010
To tpia:
As i mentioned it is a play of words in the hebrew language.

Adam=means human/mankind, but it come form the root word for red. Dam=means blood. Edom=means in hebrew the color red. Adamah means red clay where the first man Adam was made from. In other words Adam was the red/ or brown man. In other words, Adam and most likely Eve were people of color, some speculated that they are what we call mix race people today, which makes more genetic sense. Do you remember the post of the twins one black the other white from two what we call birracial today. Here are the photos of them, this will give you a picture of what adam and eve were like.

Tpia here are a few website i found that might be helpful. The first one is from the Josepheus who was a ancient jewish writer that live thirty years after Christ, he document the history of the jews, and the war between the Jews and the Romans. Many Jews during that era probably regarded him as a traiter for compromising himself to the Romans. However, he felted compelled to write the history of the Jews, however in his writing he wrote about Adam and the constitution what Adam was made from. He also written about the Cushites, and the fall of mankind. Also will give you some other web sites as well. Hopefully, this answer some of your question. cheer Tpia.

It had to be someone of the middle of our extreme, not so called white, or so called black, or asian, but some in the middle of the extremes, and we are just variation of the original two humans. There is no reason for racism worldwide since we are all related. However i know many people is going to disagree with my conclusions. There is really no such things as races, since we all come from the original human pair.
Re: How Did Black People Become Black? by ababda: 7:57pm On Jun 13, 2010
Tpia, Again i found this from a Hebrew website as well

Name of the Day
אדם (ADM - Adam)
We are all familiar with the name "Adam" as found in the book of Genesis, but what does it really mean? Let us begin by looking at its roots. This word/name is a child root derived from the parent דם meaning, "blood". By placing the letter א in front of the parent root, the child root אדם is formed and is related in meaning to דם (blood).

By examing a few other words derived from the child root אדם we can see a common meaning in them all. The Hebrew word אדםה (adamah) is the feminine form of אדם meaning "ground" (see Genesis 2:7). The word/name אדום (Edom) means "red". Each of these words have the common meaning of "red". Dam is the "red" blood, adamah is the "red" ground, edom is the color "red" and adam is the "red" man. There is one other connection between "adam" and "adamah" as seen in Genesis 2:7 which states that "the adam" was formed out of the "adamah".

In the ancient Hebrew world, a persons name was not simply an identifier but descriptive of one's character. As Adam was formed out of the ground, his name identifies his origins.

@ ababda

thanks for the info.

the "red" theory is rather interesting because i've mentioned it myself before, as a possible consideration when discussing the origins of race and skin colour.

this was on the albino thread.

i've noticed red haired people [especially whites] tend to have a rather distinct personality type which i wont go into detail about here.

for blacks, not much is known in this area besides their phenotype ie appearance.

but i agree there are a lot of unknowns here.
Re: How Did Black People Become Black? by ababda: 5:14am On Jun 15, 2010
You are welcome Tpia. I think so called races don't really exist. Again we are basically variations of the originally two people. It is obvious that Adam and Eve were dark enough and light enough to produce the various people we have today on planet earth. What we called races today is only a degree of isolation, groups married within their language groups and produce the various facial characteristic and skin color we see today on planet earth, Most likely facial features and skin color occured when individual married within their group. Accordingi to many scholars most likely Adam and Eve were darkskinn people or what we call mulattoes today, it is well know fact when mulattoes marry each other they can produce children that look like a yoruba, spaniard, Indian, and even asiatic within the same family, and i think Adam and Eve was like this, Again, it had to be someone in the middle of the racial group today to produce the variation we see today, in a relatively short time, and you see this with mulattoes or mix people when they marry each other.
Re: How Did Black People Become Black? by tpiah: 9:40pm On Jun 15, 2010

this is quite likely, with some features becoming more dominant than others.

Exactly, I have a strange feeling that the first set of humans(Adam, Eve, and the people that died during the flood of Noah) looked similar to these people and their variations. Some are dark while others are light, some with curly hair, some with almost straight hair while others have coarse hair texture. What is funny these people language is classified as semitic as well similar to hebrew and arabic, but written from left to right instead of right to left.

The bible did not say in anyway that man was either black or white when God did the creation. so think we should stop speculating. but the truth is that God created us all.
The teaching of evolution is a total lie cos it has not been proved. the father of evolution Charles darwing made it clear that all pictorial expressions are all imaginary, the teaching itself is all imaginary. either black to white or white to black. it is a fat lie that cannot be proved. there is nothing like evolution. in case you have any point to back up your teaching of evolution, i am waiting.

60% of the stories in the bible were plagiarized from Ancient Egyptian mythology. For instance, the Ten commandment was copied word for word from the Egyptian Book of the Dead. The story of "Moses crossing the Red sea" was derived from folktales told by ancient Egyptian thousands of years before Abraham. The story was  attributed to a powerful  Egyptian Magician who parted the Red sea for his Pharaoh to pass.

The similarity of the stories in the Bible with Ancient Egyptian folklore is heartbreaking. Often, only the names of the characters were changed.

I have come up with something I do not know if it has been said yet,

f spiritualist
Since God made Adam from mud he came out with a skintone of brown and since he took eve from Adam's rib she came out white, The children came out mix and some inheriting more of their father's gene or mother to give us the different skintones we have. And since migration had to happen the skintones, facial features, hair etc changed to suit the environment you in, Why do you thing the African elephant has bigger ears and are bigger than the indian elephant to protect them selves from the heat, Just like the average African man has a bigger private part than average joe from another continent,

The hotter the place the darker the complexion, I think in some ways evolution and religion can go hand in hand, take the diaspora of Noah and his family per se.

Hope I made sense smiley

In Genesis They talked about how one of the Rivers in the Garden of Eden flows around the land of Cush

Genesis 2
10 A river flowed out of Eden to water the garden, and there it divided and became four rivers. 11 The name of the first is the Pishon. It is the one that flowed around the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold. 12 And the gold of that land is good; bdellium and onyx stone are there. 13 The name of the second river is the Gihon. It is the one that flowed around the whole land of Cush.

Cush is Ethiopia!!!
