Just like Mtn and Etisalat reduced down their Blackberry tariff plan few months ago, Airtel has also done the same yesterday. It is obvious that all networks across the countries, most especially in Nigeria are seriously competing and the competition will not stop until my dream comes through, that is, for blackberry subscription to be #100 for a month.

According to what they posted on their Facebook fan page:

BB Complete Month -N1,000. Dial *440*19# or send 'bbcm' to 440
BB Unlimited Month- N1,500. Dial *440*16# or send 'bbum' to 440
BB Weekly - N350. Dial *440*20# or send 'bbcw' to 440

Though I know some people have already subscribed for the so called 2.98GB capped Airtel unlimited plan and they are unable to use it on non blackberry devices. Good news my people, am happy to tell you that your money is not wasted.

To effectively use it on your PC/Phones, do this:

Load Airtel Recharge card of #100 on a line you used to subscribe to a blackberry unlimited plan of #1,500,dial *141*712*11# to subscribe for Airtel 10mb daily plan. Start browsing with it and your blackberry subscription of #1500 will start working after you exhaust the daily 10mb you subscribed to.

cj1080: Mine is working but I will explain my procedure although it was expensive.

I loaded the 1500 and sent the code. they welcomed me to airte Bb said I had 2.03GB

I tried to browse and notices my credit was going. I changed my Access point to internet.ng.Zain.com credit still going and finished. It stopped browsing but my 2.03gb still de.

I decide to unsubscribe since it didn't work, I sent deactivate to 440. I got deactivated, tend I loaded 1200 for my old Bb trick, *440*4# that gives 1gb.

I was welcomed to it and told I had 1gb data. I checked my data balance and saw, 3.03gb.

I start browsing and my credit ain't going no more. now the bandwidth is going.

so there u have it folks.

The key ingredient here is after you load the 1500 and activate be prepared to deactivate and load extra bandwidth. in my case, extra 1gb.

I'm afraid I have no choice but to try yours. This is because mine worked only once after subscribing for the 2Gb on my pc(about 80Mb used actually). The next time I attempted to connect on my pc, all went well until about 3 minutes later, connection refused to work only to find out that my account balance of about 100 is now zero. I've tried other bb plans as well as the 10Mb plan but I'm getting the reply that I can't migrate to other plans while I still have an active one.

cogitoErgo: I almost cried wen my subscription of 1500naira on airtel bb, refused to work on my android since ysterday, i called their cc and d guy told me its nt working bcause its nt meant for android, then he tried explaing how to deactivate and subscibe to other plans wich he explained and i chose daily. Actly I tought d guy was talking trash! but seen this thread now, I realised d guy was telling me what to do to get my 1500 subscription working, but in a coded language I appreciate u guys, I will try d method here and get back if it works well!
