See how everywhere is just quiet!! This Canada people and their slow application processing. I am leaving for Toronto in a few weeks. Please if there is any mama delivering in Toronto you can PM me let us brainstorm together.

@esomimi i advise that you get to Canada first before trying to find a midwife. I am sure they will want to see the person first.
Safe trip
Re: Giving Birth In Canada by Hotstepper(f): 3:41pm On Dec 20, 2019
I will ask around for u but where will u be landing nd staying cuz that will determine. u cannot live in Scarbrough nd ur midwife is in Mississauga.

Alternatively, once u get in, ur family dr will find one for u

Esomimi:
Good day all,

Please I have a question. I recently got my application for Permanent Residence approved and I intend to land in Canada in February. My due date is in the first week of April and i won't have insurance cover then. Please does anyone know of any midwifery service I can access before delivery? All the ones I have contacted are full.

I think u will get a better answer if you ask at Living in Canada nd Visiting Canada threads.

In my opinion, it will probably affect it but let us hear frok others But if u are already in a pool, why not stick to it nd add ur baby when u get invited, thus saving money of coming to have a baby in Canada.

I hope this helo.

You've exceeded the time. Contact them through web form and they will respond soonest. They probably forgot your application somewhere

Hi,
No, I didn’t get any such mail, in fact I haven’t received any mail from them except the monthly update which I receive at the beginning of each month & the content is always that my application is receiving attention, which is too vague for me.

Thank you very much @Candybright, I have just submitted a web form requesting update on my application & also expressing the urgency around the application.

Hopefully they will get back soon, seems birth Visa is generally taking time and EDD isn’t waiting for anyone. Let’s just pray and hope for the best...
