Anyways, I was talking about this with someone today and though Canada has resumed online application for temp visas, the wait time according to what this person told me on their website is 8 months! so I don't know if it is shorter for those renewing now, but is there something in particular you are concerned about? I would say just go ahead and apply.

My first child like I shared is a Canadian, Canadians are allowed into their country and me as the mum, an immediate family member. so airline would always ask for evidence which is the birth certificate. again non-optional/non discretionary reasons, mine was medical. plus I have PR siblings but that only came up when I was already at canada immigration. the main thing is airlines will not let you fly if you cannot show evidence to enter a country that has restrictions.

This clears up a lot. Unfortunately my hopes are dashed again as I don’t have Canadian kids or siblings.

thanks for the feedback. i just wanted to renew my visa after childbirth as I had challenges renewing my visa after birthing my first in the US.

What kind help do you need? Do you need names of the walk-in clinics or... I’m in the Durham region that’s why I’m asking

I finally got a refusal letter.

Application date/biometrics....28 Oct 2019 (paper based)

email for proof of payment from a competent Canadian health authority........ 31 Oct 2019 (I guess we were the first batch that got the email cos every body seemed to be confused as to what they actually meant)

Paid hospital and Doctors fee and sent receipt with another LOE....8 Nov 2019

That was the last time I heard from them till I got the refusal letter on 14th October 2020.

I kinda expected it anyway....cos it took so long.
By the way, I put in the application when I was 4 months gone with the pregnancy, refusal came when my baby is already 8 months...lol

Please how long does it take to retrieve passport...
I have written vfs, the confirmed that my passport hasn't gotten to them.
I have an urgent need for it right now.

I would like to state that I went to Canada in 2011 and stayed for 10 days. I never renewed since then. I also also collected US visa(2years each) about 5times. Uk visa about 5times too. All my visas are currently expired.
I would like to know if
1) can I apply now even though I don’t know anyone in Canada to invite me and I just want to state I’m going on holiday next year April /May 2021
2) what are my chances please?
3) I will be sponsoring myself, I’m married. However, how much will need to be in the account on the average for better chances.
4) what is the average processing time? I saw 8 months somewhere... Do you really think It can take 8months?

I have narrated the main immigration experience, the boring one I was referring to, is the actual journey to Canada which was cumbersome because of the travel bans, and different country rules. But future mums will not suffer similar fate as most lock down has eased.

Please can you clarify what you wrote in your second line, are you saying to were able to get the letter from the Canadian health authority, but they still refused you? Also who exactly are this authority is it dependent on the province or a national body?

Dear poster this information is in the thread, and I m lost on where to start from, but I do know several have shared there experience and I also did advice that its best to get for visiting then use later for birthing. Maybe someone else who has had a more recent experience can advise.

Your chances look pretty good based on what you have shared. the two times I have applied for visa I have never had less than 2 mill, I dunno what the expectation is now? Perhaps research tourist locations and hotels/inns in Canada like around Niagara falls area. Or use a holiday booking site, if you book something in advance then you can use that as a reason to visit without knowing anyone.

About the 8 months, application process times, takes a long time but changes so go on the website and search processing times, to see if it has reduced or not.

Apologies for my late response. I just got back to my base a few days ago from Canada, so still settling in. I was able to respond to what I could via email, but do feel free to share on here and other mums with experience can input. It is critical that you are able to enter canada by the time you want to travel so keep checking their site for that.

Your question is too broad. Ontario is a big place, contributors only share for a specific area. From my experience, doctors will say when you come into the office bring your money along with you. I'm not too sure about the deposit thing. Dr Grace and Dr Kayode still take non-OHIP patients but any deposit you want to make will be direct at Brampton after they have referred you.

I already shared a list of hospitals, ring the doctors attached to them to see who else is taking non-insured. best of Luck

Hello poster, the days you mentioned is almost equivalent to 8 months. You have answered your own question. As for other countries, I heard USA is not giving pregnant women visa again, maybe after this election if power change hands then you can try. I ve read some other folks here say something about Brazil and Mexico but I know nothing about those countries.

I will advise you await ITA. In my opinion, I don't think you should use this to jeopardize your PR journey. Las Las, pikin go be be citizen. Let others contribute.

Firstly which airline you plan to use that you need a canada transit visa and not uk transit visa??
