Ladies, also watch for perverts who'll grind out your essentials all in the name of struggle.. Once remember a bus struggle I was involved in. This guy in front of me had his hands firmly clinched on a girl's boo.bs.. The girl didnt notice, as the struggle was intense.. I was quite surprised at his boldness! I flashed a look at the lady's endowment, and I began to feel jealous cheesy

godman01: That's one of the reasons I can't stay in Lagos.
Lol...thank God I've left that town. I vaguely remember one incident that happnd wen I was a kid.my elder sister(who was abt 17 at that time) and I had gone to yaba(she needed to do some shopping 4 skool and asked me to "escort" her).I was abt 11 years old then.
On our way back from d market, getting transport from yaba back to festac was an uphill task, considering d mad rush for buses(and my sis and I weren't very street-smart..."Daddy's pets",if u will, lol)
Well, after waiting for so long and being pushed away (by all d other street-savvy lagosians)from any bus that managed to stop close to where we were standing several times(and d sun dat day eh,no be here o!),I got frustrated and tired of waiting.so all of a sudden, here comes dis bus, with d conductor screaming a destination that I had never heard in my life(dat was my first time outside festac without d family cars),but I didn't care;I was so tired dat I jumped into d bus as soon as it slowed down.apparently, that wasn't d vehicle we were supposed to board then,so my sister didn't enter, but I moved so fast that b4 she knew what was happnin,I was in d bus! Trust lagos buses, almost as soon as I entered,d driver started movin again!imagine my shock and fright wen I realised that my dear sister(and guardian for d day) wasn't in d bus with me!I culdnt even shout;I was just lookin at her desperately as d bus was moving! Oh,my poor sister...how she screamed and ran after d bus with all her shopping bags("stop!...wait!...stooop!!!!)lol.it must hav bin a sight!other ppl standing must hav noticed her distress so d were just shouting until dey got d driver's attention b4 he went too far.
Anyway,d bus stopped(finally) and I got down and rush into my sister's arms(na dat day I know say I really luv her!).we were both too shaken to talk abt d incident at dat point.it was later that night, wen we were safely home that she told me how scared she was...surely she knew my mom wuld hav beaten her to death and buried her,so she said as she was shouting and running after d bus,she kept thinking to herself that she wuld never return home, but instead go to allen avenue and become a prosti*tute in order to survive!(I'm sure then, she didn't even know where allen avenue was).hehehehe...and oh,of course we never told our parents what went down that day.

Very nice one.. But you don't tell a Blind man its raining.. U can't educate lagosian and Bus transportation.. Right from the Days of Molueh to Danfo buses to BRT buses, lagosians have survived. Thanks all the same.
Re: How To Win Bus Struggle In Lagos by dammytex: 12:16pm On Jul 05, 2013

Even though, the write up sounds funny, they are actually true and helpful in some struggles for public passenger buses since we Nigerians are never patient enough to queue.

@OP, are these tips also applicable for BRT buses?

@ ganase2
Really,this is cool.
This is one of the reasons I dislike Lagos. It makes me spend long hrs on some bus stops when am on a casual movement in Lagos back then (spent some one month there in 2007). Most times, I biked. I once biked from V.I to Mazamaza after spending more than an hr and half there, waiting for many buses to come at a time and as well as passenger number attrition. But people kept trooping out in their numbers. I needed to catch a bus to Calabar. Was frustrated, I got one aboki to take me there. My firends were like, "how could you do that?"

@ ITbOmb
Is this picture a photograph or drawn? it's really funny.
