Justice Adeniyi Ademola of a federal high court sitting in Abuja yesterday granted former Director, Pension Accounts, in the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation (HOSF), Shaibu Teidi and Udusegbe Eric Omoefe bail.


Teidi and Omoefe are standing trial on a 22 count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretence, conspiracy to commit fraud and concealing the illicit origin of stolen pension funds.


The duo were required to provide N500 million each with two sureties in the like sum, as a condition for their bail.


The Judge also said that the two sureties for each accused persons must be reliable Nigerians, with landed properties within the jurisdiction of the court, and that the title deeds of the said property must be deposited with the Deputy Chief Registrar (DCR) of the court.


The bail condition stipulated that the accused persons should deposit their travelling document with the court registrar and must not travel without the permission of the court.
