As part efforts to revitalise the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, MSMEs, sub-sector of the nation’s economy, the federal government may draft a policy to make the production of school uniforms from local fabrics compulsory.

The Minister of Trade and Investment, Olusegun Aganga, stated this at a stakeholders’ validation workshop on National Policy on Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, MSMEs, and launch of the National Enterprise Development Programme, NEDEP, held in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

Mr. Aganga promised to make a proposal available to the Federal Executive Council, FEC, on the need to ensure the production of school uniforms from “made-in-Nigeria fabrics.”
