How To Build A PC by Briareos(m): 4:52pm On Jul 17, 2013
Hello Computer Guru in the house.

I want to build a customized PC to suit my video editing works. Do anybody here know where I can get the parts like;

- Motherboard
- Rams
- Processors
- fans

and all the other parts I need. I can do the coupling - I'm only interested in knowing where I can get the original parts in Nigeria.

Thanks in advance.

HA!! A help at last. I was already giving up hope on ever getting a response.

Thanks for dropping by.

Can you please direct me specifically to the shops in computer village to get the parts?

And what about the budget? I know its hard to say exactly since it will be dependent on the grade of PC I'm going for. But can you suggest a range for a decent beastly machine?

Thank you once again. I know how to couple it. But I'm interested in where to get the components in Nigeria.

I feel the guy in that thread is not in Naija.

Mehn, the motherboard na die. LOL.

But I think a none integrated processor will be preferably. I mean like a separate motherboard and processor. That will help if i want to upgrade later.

Also, an external fan will be better. And not the one that comes with the processor.

And most importantly, I will need an external power pack. The i7 is power hungry plus the external fan and stuff.

I noticed you didn't put the price for a SSD. It is very vital.

I know I must sound like an ingrate with what appears to be my ranting after you took your time to get the prices for me. I apologize and I didn't mean it so.

I noticed that save for the motherboard/processor, the prices are quite cheap.

Please, I will need your professional opinion on the points I listed above. Thank you very much.

N.B And I will prefer a 30" Flat screen monitor. grin

Did you just say Upgrade ? grin

Bros all the components are detachable sad

I do not understand what you want here

Customers are always right. cool

I did not add a penny to the prices i gave u, those are the current market prices as at today. cool

Yeah, bro, I will like to upgrade. You know the lifespan of a computer is less than three years. Core i7 is in the latter part of its relevance.

Also, an external fan will be better. And not the one that comes with the processor.

Bros all the components are detachable sad

I know. I meant I wont mind the price of an external fan for the processor, but scratch that, I just read somewhere that the follow come fan with intel processors are always very reliable

And most importantly, I will need an external power pack. The i7 is power hungry plus the external fan and stuff.
I do not understand what you want here

Most power pack that comes with casing are meant for a medium range pc. For high end pc we've been discussing about so far, it will require a better and bigger power pack. now, i want to know how much a decent power pack that will be enough for the above specs.

I appreciate your efforts bro. And I will wait for others to fill in the gaps.
