This is the most pertinent question most Nigerians would never dear asked. Oil theft occurs in Nigeria, yes but how does it happen? We all knew how oil bunkering occurs, how pipeline vandalism persisted in our nations life. But come to think of this, no one, i mean no govt officials had ever came up and narrate to us Nigerians in an exclusive manner and analysis how the evil of Oil thefts are perpetuated. The stories are the same. The narrations are limited to, do not support Oil theft, oil theft is an economic sabotage, oil thieves are the enemies of the economy, oil companies plans to divest due to chronic oil theft, and so on and so forth, and these are anything but a huge short supply of explainations which the nation do seriously wants to hear but its been withheld. This is because if much awareness are done on how its been carried out i think we are better of. The issue of Oil theft had been done up to a point that the Nigerian govt had to solicit for international help to solve it, yet nobody could supply the much needed information on how these are being done. Was it that after unloading Oils in barrels at the creek, then one mysterious man would come up with gun pointing at the workers to quickly lift the oil as instructed? Seriously how does it happen. Even pirates are known of how they operate. Are oil theft the same as sea pirates? Who can distinguish btw sea pirates and Oil theft? Are they synonymous? Are the oil thieves more powerful and well equiped than the Nigerian military personnel that it had defiled all solution but to the whims of an international outcry? Anything taken by force are subject of barrels of gun, why then are the oil thieves abscond with our barrels of Oil? #curiousOP
