So many questions are seriously beging for answer about these act. First: is onitsha head bridge the home of ebonyian?, Why must it be by 3am that u will send them to their famillies? How was it easy for a lunatic be able to tell detect he was droped, by the time was droped and even the number of buses that brought them onitsha? Etc Impossible even if all of them got their lucendi at the same time. Well fashala and his Aid have not tell Nigerians the truth.

Goodmorning Lagos!
Fact is not all yorubas in Lagos are true Lagosians. And some so-called "illegal immigrants" have greater and better stakes than them.
It is very important therefore to note that so long 3rd mainland bridge and other fly-over/bridges and FG roads, d seaports, rail stations, LUTH, 'Yaba left, Igbobi orthop hosp and other FG establishments are still in Lagos. Lasgidi is for all

No Culture Against Love – Wednesday July 31st, 2013 – Pastor Chris

Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law (Romans 13:10).

All people are the same when it comes to love; they feel and react to love the same way. Love changes them. It brings everybody to the same plane, irrespective of the culture. There's no culture against love.

1 Corinthians 13:13 says, "And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is love." If you walk in love towards people, they'll be compelled sooner or later to respond the same way, because love begets love. When you understand the love of God, you'd realize that it's the greatest power in the universe. It goes beyond cultural divides, religious barriers, ethnic differences, and social stratifications. The love of God can reach anyone, and melt the hardest heart.

Train yourself to walk in love. It's a conscious choice you have to make; it'll transform your life. Tell yourself, "I'm going to walk in love, no matter what." In John 13:34, Jesus said, "A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another." There shouldn't be anybody you can't love. The love-way is the way of victory; therefore, you must love everyone genuinely, even when their actions aren’t deserving of love.

The Bible tells us that God demonstrated His love for us, while we were undeserving of kindness: "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:cool.

Therefore, as His beloved children, we're to love like Him: "Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling savour" (Ephesians 5:1-2).

To walk with God you'd have to love like Him. 1 John 4:7-8 says, "Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God,and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love." Let your language be consistent with the God-kind of love; let your life be the out-shining of His love.

Confession:
My life is the expression of the love of the father in my heart in Christ Jesus. I abound in love today, towards those in my world, and beyond, and declare that my heart is established blameless and in holiness before the Lord, for His love is perfected in me, in Jesus' Name.

Further Study:
1 John 4:7-8
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

1 Thessalonians 3:12-13
And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you: To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.

ndu_chucks: No one doubts the goodness in many of the Fashola's policies. Selling the so-called repatriation of "beggars" as some sort of family reunification is to say the least dishonest, and possibly criminal.

Sir many of those who were deported to the East did not choose to be deported, they were forcibly deported and accosted with armed guards. This act is criminalto say the least

Really? I'd like to see verifiable evidence. The fulani also had armed military escorts when they were relocated, but that did not mean that it was forced. They were only relocated after negotiations had taken place and they had agreed to be relocated.

For the rest of your post, read below:

naptu2: Now about the repatriation process.

I watched a documentary in 2007 in which the journalists followed the story of a man from Kaduna. The man had been a beggar on the streets of Lagos. He was arrested by the environmental sanitation task force. He was given the options of rehabilitation, imprisonment or repatriation. He chose repatriation because, according to him, he lived a better life in the village. He was bussed into Lagos by some people who promised him that he would be given a job as a security guard in Lagos. In actual fact there was no job. The people just dumped him at Ikeja. So he preferred to go home and farm. He was returned to Kaduna. The Kaduna State Government and his family were informed about his impending repatriation.

I am in favour of voluntary repatriation like the one described above, but I'm against forced repatriation. I think the Lagos State Government should launch an investigation into the repatriation process to find out if it's still working in the way that it was designed.

Some people have claimed that they were forcibly expelled from Lagos, but the Lagos State Government has also stated that it has not forcibly expelled anybody. It's important that an investigation is launched to find out

1) Who these people are

2) If they were arrested and expelled

3) Who arrested and expelled them (if they were actually arrested and expelled)

Etc.

It should also be noted that the Lagos State Government is not the only government that practices repatriation. The Federal Government, which controls Abuja, also practices repatriation.

I used to respect this guy, since I erroneously thought he was quite knowledgeable and objective. Unfortunately, his recent posts expose him as a terribly jaundiced, tribalistic, clannish, and shamelessly prejudiced character, no different from the other oily ACN worshippers trolling all over NL turning truth on its head with their hypocrisy. Now, one can no longer be deceived by his pretensions.

If you read the report about the ILLEGAL DEPORTATION of Nigerians from Lagos to Onitsha, you would have read that the victims were deported AGAINST THEIR WILL, and to a state other than their states of origin for that matter. How dare you and your fellow oily hypocrites come here to tell bare-faced lies about "re-integration" or "reunification"? So you take a Nigerian that hails from Ebonyi State but is LEGALLY resident in Lagos State, and forcefully deport him or her to a dangerous bridge-head in Anambra State in the middle of the night, and call that "reunification"? In any case, how many Igbo destitutes would you find in Lagos, compared to the Hausa/Fulani and Yoruba ones that are uncountable? If you have any truth in you, how many Igbo beggars have you encountered in the streets of Lagos? How come, then, you hateful twerps are more interested in 'reintegrating' igbo people, against their wish?

Look, a time would soon come when this matter would be taken up with the seriousness it deserves. You tribalistic, hatefully envious, lazy, oil-eating buffoons would get more than you bargained for. Just wait for it.

There have been two sides to the story. You've decided to take one side hook line and sinker, without questioning it. I've decided to listen to both sides and question them. But I'm not surprised since I've noticed that you condemn anything that's done by the ACN regardless of whether it is good or bad. I also wish you knew how funny your post is. Anyway, read below.

The Fulani relocation you referenced above may have been negotiated but the deportation of Igbos in question was not a negotiated deportation as some would have us believe. Accounts by the deported victims do not support the idea of negotiated relocation in this case.

If you have any evidence of this negotiation, please provide it and some of us will apologize. For now, I still believe that the deportation was a criminal and inhumane act.

victims:
One of the destitute, Mr. Osondu Mbuto, from Ohaozara in Ebonyi State and a petty trader in Lagos, had told journalists that they were dumped at about 3.00am on Wednesday morning at Upper Iweka after being detained in Ikorodu, Lagos, for over six months for alleged wandering and other minor offences by the Lagos State Kick Against Indiscipline (KAI) officials.

They were brought to Onitsha in four buses, escorted by Anti-Riot Policemen. Mbuto said he was arrested by the KAI officials while going to his shop on December 18, 2012.

Pray tell, is it customary to dump people under a bridge after escorting them with Anti-Riot policemen? Sir this
does not appear to be a negotiated deportation at all. Please stop this lame attempt at defending the indefensible. naptu2, cut your losses now, give it up and apologize for a botched operation, on behalf of a otherwise, fine government.

The bolded has been said by one side, while the others side has said something different. You may choose to go with one side, but I will not. Secondly, why should I apologise? Am I the Lagos State Government?

But the Commissioner for Information in Lagos State, Mr. Lateef Ibirogba denied the speculations that the government deported 67 persons from Lagos.

He said: “We did not deport anybody. By the constitution of Nigeria, everybody has a right to live in any part of the country. But we have been emphasizing that people must live within the law. However, it is not true.”

You have been providing us with links to support your points and I appreciate the links. I challenge you to provide links to show that the said deportation was negotiated. Who negotiated on behalf of the deportees? Who represented the state?

Do you know why you will fail in your attempt to provide the links I asked for? Its because no negotiations took place. There is no need to appear dishonest about this issue.

By the way, the commissioner you quoted above did not have any choice but to deny the deportation, knowing fully well that such deportation constitutes a criminal act. I'm sure you didn't expect him to publicly admitting to a crime. The same commissioner made no mention of a negotiated repatriation, so where did you get that falsity from?

This is case of total war and in-discrimination against a fellow Nigerians and which must stop now before it leads to something else.

Can you provide any evidence to show that there was no discussion? I've provided evidence based on past examples to show that discussions usually occur. Can you show evidence (verifiable evidence) to show that none occurred?

I can't show evidence because I'm not the Lagos State Government and I was not present. That's the same reason that you can't show conclusive evidence that there was no discussion. The government has stated that there was no forced deportation and others have stated that there was. One person's word against the other. Now there is evidence that previous re-integration and relocation efforts were voluntary. Can you provide evidence to the contrary?

Please are just posting what they feel happened based on emotions (just like the recent #childbride, "ayinde" and similar issues).

Instead of causing havoc to them selves by getting raped under the bridge, being introduced to Gang (robbers),, being used for rituals... and not causing havoc to the society by polluting it.

It is done in US.. So why crying out lord for God's sake?? I thought the Northerners were the one holding us back, i was wrong!!

New York City, Baton Rouge and San Francisco have all tried similar programs. New York City implemented its version in 2007, flying more than 550 homeless people back to their families in places like Paris, Orlando, and San Juan (the most popular destination), according to a 2009 article in the New York Times. Homeless advocates vehemently opposed the scheme. “What we’re doing is passing the problem of homelessness to another city,” Arnold S. Cohen, CEO of Partnership for the Homeless, told the Times. “We’re taking people from a shelter bed here to the living room couch of another family. Essentially, this family is still homeless.”

Anambra to establish courts to prosecute beggars, hawkers
Premium Times - 112 days agoREGIONAL

The courts also been set up to check the use of children as hawkers and beggars by their guardians.
The Anambra Government is to establish family courts, where beggars and hawkers will be prosecuted as part of efforts to clean up cities in the state.
The Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Henrietta Agbata, disclosed this in an interview with in Awka on Thursday.
“Many of the beggars and street hawkers have been caught in the past and warned to desist from such acts but after a while, they return to the streets, constituting a nuisance,” Mrs. Agbata said
She said that setting up such courts had become imperative so that those caught in the act would be tried and punished accordingly.
“Some people are in the habit of bringing children from the villages to live with them and later send such children to hawk for them, instead of enrolling them in schools. Such people should understand that the Child Rights Act is in place in Anambra and we have started implementing it,” the commissioner said.
Mrs. Agbata warned that the state government in collaboration with some non-government organisations would beam the search light on the activities of beggars and hawkers with a view to arresting them.
