Its high time Nigerian government stop acting like we are the only ones that have interest or diplomatic stakes around the world. We also have many niche to bargain with.
Kudos to the Mr Minister!

If this is Mr Cameroon's way of exporting his gay bill, he is a dreamer and can not put a country like Nigeria in a corner.

To all Haters, be guided and informed of the discourse. UK has indicated that there will be a 3000 GBP bond for high risk applicants. This bond is fully refundable, as long as the individual returns on cue. The announced this and has followed it up with consultations. Nigeria is not the only country in this scheme. But the countries with the highest visa delinquents has been slated for the initial trial of the scheme. Get it. It is good for UK. I support it. UK is not designed to be a place to 'try your luck anymore'. Let the Ministers, etc mind their own business. Is it by FORCE!

When contacted, the spokesman for the British High Commission in Abuja, Rob Fitzpatrick, said, if you are an overseas businessman seeking to invest and trade with world class businesses, be in no doubt: Britain is open for business.”

World class businesses my foot

World class businesses that have FAILED woefully to create the jobs that will lift 2.5 million Britons out of joblessness.

World class businesses that haven't been able to add value in form of enough Corporation Tax that the UK Govt needs to balance its woeful accounts where the recurrent Yearly Budget deficit is 10% of GDP and the Govt Debt mountain is almost 100% of GDP.

World class businesses that have failed to bail the Govt out of paying £20 million DAILY in interest payments on their colossal debt burden.

World class businesses where Barclays bank was fined $200 Million in June 2012 by the the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission for Attempted Manipulation of and False Reporting concerning Libor (London Interbank Offered Rate) and Euribor Benchmark Interest Rates.

Libor underpins approximately $350 trillion in derivatives. It is administered by the British Bankers Association of which Barclays bank is a key member.

On 27 July 2012, the Financial Times published an article by a former trader which stated that Libor manipulation had been common since at least 1991

World class businesses where In Dec 2012, HSBC was fined $1.9 billion, the largest fine under the Bank Secrecy Act, for allegedly laundering at least $881 million in drugs proceeds through the U.S. financial system for international cartels, as well as processing an additional $660 million for banks in US sanctioned countries. As part of the agreement deferring its prosecution, HSBC acknowledged that for years it had ignored warning signs that drug cartels in Mexico were using its branches to launder millions of dollars, and also acknowledged that HSBC's international staff had stripped identifying information on transactions made through the United States from countries facing economic sanctions such as Iran and Sudan.

The irony is amazing. A minister in a country that deports its citizen from one region to the other, is upset at a foreign country placing a bond on its citizen that are historically known to be economic migrants. The same minister has no issues with citizens being deported within their own country. He is a fool.
