I just saw the following post on facebook: "Phishing Alert ::: Fake First Bank website ---- http://nycera.org/mowino/securedd/additional/naming.htm" and I immediately sent the following to firstcontact@firstbanknigeria.com "Below is a link to a fake first bank website requesting personal information from people. Please treat this as urgent and make efforts towards bringing down the website. The link is http://nycera.org/mowino/securedd/additional/naming.htm The domain whois does not reveal much but it reveals that the sponsoring registrar is godaddy.com. Report the website to godaddy." I hope they act on it urgently. It just got me wondering, how can one bring down a phishing website? |
