After the discovery of three human heads inside Upper class hotel in onitsha, the Anambra state government has ordered the hotel building demolish and all the staffs arrested. Investigation is still ongoing with more persons being arrested. None has been charged to court yet. The hotel owner has reportedly been arrested after he was shot at the leg. Not that l am in support of rituals and ritualists in Anambra state nor anywhere, but l see the state government action in destroying the hotel as premature and impulsive, as well as unlawful. We want a State where due process in followed, not the old setting where 'okonkwo's house must be plundered for manslaughter'. The government can close up the hotel but its absolute justice to destroy the establishment two days after the crime was discovered and with no accused convicted. Haven't we already judged the accused, in the most barbaric way in this 21st century days? Instant justice can come to us all.
