The 11th Commandment DON'T GET CAUGHT! Sorry Sgt. Chris Omeleze (No.192954) your services would not be needed anymore in the Nigerian Police Force

Akiika: As much as i condemn the rogue policeman's action and support a harsh punishment for his unprofessionalism, i also demand that the motorist be prosecuted, offering bribe is a crime too. Most people are habitual law breakers. That's the level of the society's moral decadence. This is sadly the norm in Nigeria, bribe your way through everything. CORRUPTION incorporated...from top down!

He did NOT "OFFER" bribe Sir.

To make an "offer", you have to be the INITIATOR of the 'bribe-process'.

*The Police officer "DEMANDED" for Bribe, initiated the process...and named the amount he wants (25K).

*The Motorist negotiated for a lower price.

Now, considering the circumstance (Threats from the Policeman), the Motorist could be considered to be "coerced and pressurized" into acceding to pay the lower amount.

The situation would have been different "if" it was the Motorist that first offered money to the Police Officer, to let him go free of whatever the offense he committed (or was roped into by that greedy thief of a Policeman.)

Its similar to when undercover Agents "go along" with a criminal activity... just to catch the criminal.
It does not make such Agent guilty of the offense, even though he "went along" with the process.

My Take.

As a Police Sergeant, he still has "friends" in the Police.
With his knowledge of weapons, l hope sacking him has not unleashed "one more Armed Robber" on the Nigerian society.... a very angry and vengeful one for that matter?

We have so many Ex-officers (and current ones too!) who are Armed Robbers right now.

These type of people should be "monitored secretly" and just in-case he decides to "turn dirty", he should be arrested, prosecuted and locked up.

If turning into armed robbery is his best alternative means of surviving, he will end up like armed robbers in a matter of days.
