I need the best quotes for an inverter set up that would power the following,What size/rating of Inverters and battery can power the below conveniently: 1) 5 UNIT LIGHTING BULB POINTS 2) 3 CEILING FANS 3) 3 LG 14" PLASMA TV's 4) ONE LAPTOP Pls get back to me asap. |

feflo: You mean the 2kw inverter and 2 batteries would power these items conveniently? Are the batteries new or used? How long would the battery last (fully charged) if all the above items are running concurrently? What is your 'BESTEST' price for the whole package plus installation? |

Feflo,your candid advice is needed here. I have been using an inverter for a while now,3yrs to be precise and there has been no regrets whatsoever. The specs of my inverter/battery combo is: INVERTER Maker: Mercury Model: Radiant 1000 Input: 220Vac-240Vac,50/60Hz, 8A max, 1 Output: 220Vac-240Vac,50/60Hz,1 Battery; 12VDC BATTERY SEC Ind Battery Co. Sealed VRLA AGM CELLYTE 12FTA 155 Battery Charging Float Voltage: 12.25Vpc +/- 0.01Vpc @ 20-25C Max charge Voltage: 2.35Vpc +/- 0.01Vpc @ 20-25C (I use 2 batteries) I would like to know if it can carry a SCANFROST REFRIGERATOR with the following specs: Voltage: 220-240V Frequency; 50Hz Input power; 68W Refrigerant: R134a 60g Volume: 130L Climate Class: T Thank you |

chux76: Feflo,your candid advice is needed here. From the above, your inverter is 12V, 600W and you use two 12v, 155ah batteries to power it. Your fridge is rated 68W. The compressor in your fridge would require up to 3times the rated watt to start and that is about 210W. Its not advisable to use the whole 600W of your inverter, lets say the usable watt is 500w. If you draw out 210W for your fridge, you will be left with 290W for other loads, personally i think its rather too small. My advice Your inverter can power your refrigerator but i'll not advise you to add other loads to it. If you must use other load, the total watt of the loads combined must not exceed 200W and the fridge must be switched ON first before the other loads comes ON. Many thanks |

Just seeing this now, how smart are your chargers and how many hours would you say it will take a TOTALLY FLAT 200ah battery to be fully charged using a 30A charger. Thank you. |

It cuts off when the battery is fully charged. TOTALLY FLAT is a relative term but from experience, it should take between 6 - 8 hours to get a battery back to life. Hope this answers your question.
