As an Arsenal supporter, I wish my team the best of luck. But I fear that good wishes might not be enough. My fear stems from the exasperating miserliness of a manager who has succeeded in recruiting only one unknown rookie (and that for free) while his opponents are strengthening their teams with marquee signings. Arsene Wenger's stinginess would have been appreciated if he were Chief Economist at the World Bank; perhaps he would have helped save Greece from its economic woes. But Wenger is a football manager, which is why I think his talents are wasted.
