With pains in my heart, I present to you brothers & sisters, the pictures of Kogi State Trade Fair centre, Lokoja. sad sad

After about 15years leadership of this state by a single tribe (out of 3 major tribes), this is one of the better projects they've delivered so far..

The list of our governors:

Alhaji Abubakar Audu - Igala, 4years (ANPP)
Alhaji Ibrahim Idris - Igala, 8years, (PDP)
Capt. Idris Wada - Igala, 3+ years (PDP)

I wish I have the strength sad to start repeating the disgusting acts and attitudes of these crooks...

Mr President, please you have to listen to our people, the good people of Okun land.
We do not relate with these men General Babangida forcefully merge us with in 1991.
Move this part of the map (Okun land) back to Kwara or give us a new state!

If this state remains under their leadership, the Kogi of 50years to come would be worse than the Kogi of yesterday #fact.

They despise development more than the devil himself..

Pls Mr President, We are tired, as in We don tire...!
kai... sad sad

^^^I think we need to find a new word to describe that hot mess that passes for a complex in Kogi......'neglect' doesn't even begin to describe it!!

And you'd be bowled over when told the amount budgeted for its upkeep every year. sad

Very true sir

Neglect is not the right word to use..

Kogi state is a failed state!

Education - Failed
Transport - Lol, doesn't exist
Road - Failed
Industry - Failed

The Kogi of 1991 is far better than the Kogi of 2013. Nothing is working here..
The Government do not attract investors despite the vast mineral resources..
Kogi is one state in Nigeria with a large number of mineral resources, yet the men we call governors do not see it..

They just sit back in the government house to share F.G allocation among themselves and their igala ghost workers..
Minimum wage here is less than N15,000..
Nothing is just working..

I'm really ashamed of these shameless dirty men..

The f00lish first govenor built a state university with our money and then name the school after himself - "Prince Abubakar Audu University" grin
Can you see how this men reason¿

His brother Ibrahim Idris was elected after Audu and then he changed the name to Kogi State University. That was the greatest thing he did for 8years aside paying half Salaries..
I wasn't surprised anyway, cos he was a carpenter before his Igala brothers choose him to come lead the state (and since they have a larger population here, they're bound to win).

SURE-P Creates 4,000 Jobs in Kogi

Published August 12, 2013 | By Kogite

The Subsidy Reinvestment Programme (SURE-P), has so far employed 4,000 youths in Kogi state, under its Youth Advancement Program which is a component of the state’s SURE-P. Briefing journalists after the state SURE P committee meeting in Lokoja, the spokesperson of the committee, Mallam Ali Atabor said SURE-P fund would be channelled into creating youth employment using Agriculture under its Youth Advancement Programme and other agriculture intervention programs.

Atabor added that the fund would also be used to resuscitate the state’s transport corporation through the purchase of buses for the operation of inter and intra-city transport services as well as the building of designated bus stops across the state to serve as loading points for the transport corporation.

He said in order to avert mismanagement as recorded in the past, the new transport system would ...

Just look at the name - They're brothers & birds of same feather..
Very very gullible set of chronic liars and crooks...

4000 jobs... lmao! grin This man must have employed some ghosts and under world men and women..

Kogi Nurses, Midwives Want Better Hospitals.

Published August 20, 2013 | By Kogite

Kogi State chapter of the National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives (NANNAW) has called on the state government to take steps to meet the infrastructural needs and inadequate manpower in the health sector.

The association’s chairperson, Comrade Lilian Kanjuni, who made the call yesterday in Lokoja, during an interactive session with journalists, said health institutions, especially hospitals in rural areas are under staffed. [b]She said they are operating below the standard of the World Health Organization...

Kogi State Teaching Service Commission (TSC) is set to Make N54.4million from Unemployed Graduates in Kogi State.
The Chief Sylvester Onoja led TSC has ordered all the 16,000 applicants who are struggling for 500 available job to pay a N3,400 into TSC Zenith Bank Account before writing aptitude test.
Lol..

"They've" ruined this Kogi.

I served in this state, Ogbe to be precise and I remember the indigenes celebrating when they were told that the road linking Egbe to Ekiti via Ogbe would soon be tarred. Till I left that place and came back 2 years later for an indigene's wedding, nothing was done. Although, the project might be a federal one, I know what the OP is saying. I sympathise with you and hope God delivers your State from their hands.

@Acidosis!

It's really very disheartening that the state has been from bad to worse in recent yrs...

But your idea of seizing that opportunity to insult the Igala people and as well spew hatred towards them has killed my zeal and enthusiasm to support you on this.

You talk as if Igalas does not kick against em too... If you must know, corruption is ubiquitous everywhere in Nigeria, Kogi as a state isn't an exception.

For the record, these men have done other good things for the state even when those things weren't/are consistent.

It baffles me how you think that Okun as a people are better than the Igalas, that's a shabby act of reasoning.

You act as if the Igalas are plagues whom you don't even want to co-habbit with... I wonder why you think you are better than them. Such a huge shame.

Way back in my university days, I had friends from your tribe whom are good people and are humble, sometimes, they follow me to my home for weekends... I teach some of them on some courses and I didn't even look down on any of them.

These governors paid all SSCE fees for more than 10yrs, they have built houses under the housing units in the state, they have been instrumental to relative peace in the state.

Once more, if they are as selfish as you portray em, then, why would Ibrahim change the name of the state university to KSU?

Lokoja water works, double lane township roads in all LG of the state.

It's so funny how you won't talk about your house of assembly representatives and your local govt chairmen and councillors on how they have failed too...

Why are you painting us black? What do you gain from doing that? Why do you think you people are better than us? Why do you act as if my people are plagues? Why are you generalizing things about us?

I can still remember back in primary school, when our current affair teacher taught us about River Niger and Benue and why Lokoja is call the confluence town etc. I painted a picture of the state in my mind on how the state was a tourist attraction with beautiful tall buildings, beautiful surroundings etc.

As fate will have it, many years later, I was posted there to serve my father land. I was glad to have finanly set my foot on the historical confluence state........smh, I have never been disappointed! I immediately developed respect for my state which I taught was the most backward in terms of development in Nigeria.

@op!

Why are you so full of hatred towards your fellows? Why are you generalizing and acting as if you people are better in anyway than others?
Well, such attitude can be termed as an inferiority complex syndrome...

********************************************

Instead of juxtaposing parameters before conclusion, your sense of judgement is so clouded that you refused to use ur brain.

Edo state almost went into abyss courtesy Lucky Igbenedion (PDP) until Adams (ACN) came to their rescue. Same thing goes to Ogun state when Gbenga Daniels milked the state until Sen. Ibikunle came in. Other ones are Osun, Oyo, Imo etc...

Instead of blaming political parties, your fruitless hatred for a particular tribe won't let you.

********************************************

Pls let ur criticism be constructive... I as an Igala person, I'm so pained about the crude nature of governance by the so called governors of the state.

But what I hate is ur attitude of claiming to be a better people compared to us. That's so crude too... No, it has and never will ever be.

Although is pains me so hard about the level of negligence I always notice whenever I visit the state.

Those guys did some things that are commendable too... Things like the international market in Lokoja, the state specialist hospital, the Lokoja township roads, the international standard stadium, the upgrade and building of the state university, extension of power cables and poles to rural communities... Etc.

Guy! Like I said before, you guys aren't in no way near better than my people.
Stop been tribalistic, we don't need that. And I'd suggest you open the eyes of your mind and rearrange your philosophies.

Stay out of trouble.

Thanks.

You don't have to accuse the entire tribe, because their are some of the indigene who are doing fine in any assignment giving to them. E.g prof idachaba when he head the state uni.

The problem with kogi state is that, When it comes to politics they throwaway integrity, honesty, focus leader and go for paddy-paddy
