I thank God for helping me to secure another teaching job after leaving a place that I was incompatible working. Imagine I kept relying on all the schools I applied during the holiday and none of them engaged my service. It was a school I applied in last year that called me. I almost lost and was already planning for another thing else before that call came in.
This is the umpteenth time I am getting a teaching job in where I did not go to see a mammoth crowd during interview. All the interviews I've participated that pulled crowd have never favoured me. Even when my performance is not execrable, I always ended up not getting the job.
Today I am grateful to God for helping me to secure this one here in Lekki. The lesson alone is causing me joy. I never knew that some unknown schools can offer such! One thing I like is the closing time (3:30pm) which allows hustlers like me to go for a home lesson.
God bless all the teachers in the house. We will get there and compete with our contemporaries in other field. Finally, let the TRCN continue with their effort to sanitise the system so that those who have come to take what belongs to us will pave way after all other professions like law don't tolerate non law graduates to practice law.

The truth of the matter is that those who studied Education and still studying it are those who couldn't get admission into their preferred course just like most of those who are teaching couldn't get their preferred job.

Besides, being in any discipline is to make you a professional.

When you get to your school tomorrow, just carry out this simple survey: ask all your students to write what they'll love to be in future on a sheet of paper and pass it across to u. In a class of 30, hardly will u see up to 3 (that's 10% of the class) who will tell u they'll love to be teachers. If its not medicine, it'll be engineering, mass comm etc.

Perhaps, I would also para were I to be in ur shoes, but we also have to be realistic: if u conduct a written + microteaching interview for two candidates for a teaching position and the 'gatecrasher' scores 90% while the 'trcn teacher' scored 50%, as a proprietor, who will u give d job? Please, in answering this question, dont think as a trcn teacher but put urself in d proprietor's shoes.

Honestly you are right, I am considering porting to other profession cause studying education was a big mistake.

I'm advising you to come to place like Lekki where there are big schools. With lessons and your monthly payments you are good to go here in Lekki.

Secondly, going for masters should be your target also because the moment you become a lecturer your story will change.

As for me I've no regret majoring in education. What about those who are dabbling into education now? We are better than them because they have no hope working in their own field. Some of them are already panicking now that TRCN hammer is dangling.

My brother there is hope especially now that TRCN wants us to reclaim our mandate. The looming exodus of the interlopers in teaching would surely favour us
