I am a "fully blooded" IGBO son......this can only happen in the East.. They cant try it in the West cos they value and know worth of education. My peoples penchant for money is alarming. God help us.

It is only in abia where masses pay for road maintenance.
its in abia that you have agency that tax people from house to house on
sanitation levee,
waste disposal management,
aba cleaning agency,
Then you have abia state security agency
Vigilantee payement. Etc
All these have receipts oo.
Then when you go meet traders and ask about their story,you will marvel.
Some of the schools have been taken over by churches.
This book thing is the least of scam in that state

While i was in Warri in 2005, a friend working with a laboratory supplies company had a contract to supply at a secondary school under ETFintervention. It was the principal of the school who proposed instant sale of all the government-supplied materials. He simply said we don't need them.

Bottomline: Corruption in Nigeria is alarmingly overwhelming. However, if the head is sick, the body cannot get healing. Sanity should be restored from the top first. A night crawling dad cant dissuade his son from hanging out late.
