I currently work in Business Intelligence for a company in the UK, was wondering if Business intelligence or risk analysis has been adopted by Nigerian companies (Banks especially). If yes, whats the pay like for an experienced well rounded analyst  |

Can you give more insight into the duties of a business intelligence analyst or the like? Probably people don't really relate with the term, so a description may yield useful responses.  |

@ A-40 Examples of software used in Business Intelligence Are Engines below 1. Microsoft Analytic Services 2. Oracle Hyperion Essbase (This are separate platforms that sit on top of the ERP and Relational Databases, that take data from these environments and push them into multidimensional cube structure, for easier, faster business analysis) 3. Oracle Olap 10g/11g (Multidimensional Cube structure, that is actually resides inside Oracle 10g/11g Relational Database) 3. Qlikview (Newish technology that doesnt store data on disk in mulitdimensional cubes but IN Memory, which makes for extremely fast analysis) 4. IBM Applix TM1 (Also uses IN Memory techonology) APPLICATIONS that use the engines mentioned above 1. Microsoft Performance Point (+ Proclarity) 2. Oracle Hyperion Planning 2. Business Objects XI 3. Cognos BI |

@chuckdee4, Business Intelligence is used mostly in telecommunications in Nigeria Zain and Mtn use OBIEE Multilinks use OBIEE/Microsoft reporting services |
