crackhaus: Welcome to Nollywood...I even watched one Yoruba movie last week and there was this handsome dude with dreadlocks, ear rings, fitted jean and shirt. He played the role of a typical local boy with a perfect local accent as if he has never been to the city before. He reeks of contradiction as his appearance was practically against his role. These are the kind of things we take for granted. I see no reason why he shouldn't scrape his dreadlocks and remove his ear rings for the movie. 1 Like |

What is with the 'can't they find kids to act the role?' It may be that movie is about an illiterate couple, who decide they must get back to school at all cost, no matter the embarrassment. illiterati: It's obviously a comedy, so what's your beef with adult actors playing kid roles? With mentalities such as yours, Nigeria certainly has a long way to go.... Is everything about 'making cool cash'? There is a noble way of doing things.... Different people have to coming into things because that is how life is designed to be and not 60 and 40 years old man and woman playing roles of kids when kids are not in short of supply..... If people like you were to be in civil service you would be falsifying birth certificates and changing your age to remain in service..... People that have made their marks in any field of life should stop monopolizing things and bring others up to succeed them because success without a successor is failure. If at this age Nollywood cannot groom kids to play roles of school kids but resort to using grand parents for such roles, then the industry is not doing fine. |
