The stealing of the cattle of the fulani is the main reason for the conflict with the fulani as opposed to the often peddled story of a fight for land.
The attack could be by the cattle rustlers from the local tribes or by the fulani to take back their stolen cows. I find it very odd that mr gwom has more than fifty cattle.
