This topic is important because our understanding of it can change our view of God.

@JMAN05

Yes, God was aware. He knew Adam and Eve will rebel

He knew what will happen and took actions in order to be prepared

Sin was already existing before Adam and there was a plan to deal with sin completely

god knew all that would happen and still went ahead to create man? that means the creation nonsense is all a set up by god. what a dubious god

you disrespect your god so much.. I mean, he is god God right? omni everything. Following that thought, he would have known how everything will play out even before deciding to create Adam and Eve. "The alpha and omega, the beginning and the end" all that crap right?

@Op, Yes. he knew They will eat the fruit even before he planted the tree in the first place much more before creating Humans.. So everything you see today is in his plan. He wanted Adam and Eve to rebel so he can send himself in form of his son to be sacrificed for himself to forgive our original sin (which he planned actually).
WOW! so much confusing stuff.. this god sounds confused.

OR.. OR... OR.. look at it this way.. The stories were made up be desert dwelling ancient jews to control their people? and the whole Yaweh story is bull. grin

make your own conclusion

hmmm. he also knew satan will rebel? or was sin existing before satan rebelled?

Well He doesnt know. He created them with free will. He cant create them to sin and punish them afterward.

Chai! Did you notice the cohorts salivating and raring to have a field day grin grin grin

"Friends" coming out of the woodwork - It was like a wolf pack scene

They went into a frenzy by the smell of blood

Adam and Eve were not created to sin - get a grip and control your emotions

and they were not punished afterward - don't mistake the result or effect of an action or condition (i.e. cause and effect) as/for punishment

So you think God is autocratic (i.e. domineering)

that He takes no account of other people's wishes or opinions

What is the point having freewill, if your choice will not be respected?

What is the importance or value of freewill then, huh?

Pfft. C'mon now, give us a break

Anyway a picture is worth a thousand words
