I love this!
Everytime this clown in NANS opens his mouth, it gives a textbook example of how the young are slowly being subverted into paid agents, propagandists and sycophants. From a closed door meeting with the generous Governor Suswam to hobnobbing with ministers, it's clear that this young man has seen where the bread is being buttered. He will emerge from this saga a rich man with lots of lucre grin.

Tax free, I might add cheesy

gregg2:
“In as much as we sympathise with ASUU over the predicament that forced the industrial action, millions of Nigerian students are simply tired of staying at home and hence appeal to call it off and resume negotiations immediately”.

Will someone tell this NANS clown that the 'predicament' affects the students every bit as much as ASUU? Their personal allowances will be a cinch for the Government to approve. The big, 100lb gorilla in the room is a commitment from the Government to massively invest in the education sector to make our graduates 'fully baked'. Working labs, better classrooms, more salubrious hostels...these are some of the benefits ASUU is fighting for that he is calling an 'ASUU predicament'.

wesley80: Dedemoron, so why didnt the govt that signed the agreement begin the payment? Why was the agreement never implemented in all 4 years it was signed and 4 ask you again like I've asked every ignorant mofo that keeps spewin garbage over something they know nothing about: have you seen the agreement?

Fool, very simple.
Because the Govt simply dont want to implement it. Not because they dont have the means to but because they arent just interested. Instead they prefer to implement other frivolities.

diva_tosin: I am tempted to go with GEJ that ASUU has become very political. It's pretty obvious.
It was not Jonathan's administration that entered this agreement with ASUU. That nothwitstanding, the government is not feigning ignorance but only pleading with ASUU to reconsider the terms of the Agreement.

Even in standard contracting practice, parties can apply on variation of an existing contract. Terms in an existing contract can be varied to enable the parties fulfill all existing obligations. You don't just hold unto an unrealistic agreement with the cliche "agreement is agreement".

ASUU has been given 130B. They should make do with it and call off this strike in the interest of Nigerian students

And the current Abuja city gates that will be built for billions.
Don't forget also that just last financial year, Jonathan and his cohorts spent approx 1 billion naira on food.
