Hello Nairalanders,
In this era when a lot of us can only afford to buy used cars (Tokunboh) how does one insulate himself from buying a car that could have been stolen from outside the country?
It bothers me considering that circumventing due process is not exactly difficult here. Sad but true.
Please share your thoughts/suggestions.

If it was stolen from outside the country then you would have no problem with the law if you innocently bought it, but if it was stolen from within the country and you're caught with it, that is where ther will be HEAVY!!!!!! problem.

The truth is you can't know a stolen car that has been well prepared for sale. You can only pray to God to lead you to honest dealers and buys.
