Assalamu Alaikum, Perhaps we may learn some thing from this, Kanoute spent what was close to his one year wage to save a Seville Mosque from being taken over,as users cannot afford the cost. Kanoute was appealed to and he saved his brothers and sisters from the situation. Only few people can do that. To Allah belongs the glory.
