It was indeed a sad day on the 5th of November, 2013 in Alaba International market,Lagos when Devil-Minded armed robbers stormed the market and killed innocent people. A young lady who was conveying a large sum of money which belonged to her boss to the bank, with two mobile police officers was double
crossed by armed robbers and shot several times. One of the police officers was also shot and the second one managed to escape with bullet injuries. As the robbers made to escape, they were interrupted, which made them shoot randomly killing innocent people.

This is not the first time the lady and the mobile police officers will be conveying such a large amount of money to the bank before the unfortunate incident took place on Tuesday. The importer which she worked for is said to be among the richest in Alaba market. The police had since moved the dead bodies to the mortuary. See some pictures below only if you have the mind. Viewer’s discretion is strictly advised.

Go cash less people, cash less. Someone somewhere knew the "routine" and arranged boys for them. How much does a POS machine cost?

May the living learn, may the injured get well soon.

All in the name of showing off during Christmas, they take others lives.

Well, that's what you get when there aren't police post in all nooks and crannies, plus no emergency nos.

RIP to the dead.

Brothers killing brothers

This is sad

But I wonder why people still carry cash around

Except in fraudulent deals, any amount can be transacted electronically

To be honest, people should be very careful around this period in carrying cash. Remember December period is around the corner, and some people are desperate to make money to travel home with for the Xmas celebration.

Things like this is always rampart around this period & around those area. People should be watchful.

God will have mercy.

Don't you think it's a broader plan to force them back to their villages?

It's quite unfortunate.

the earlier we go cashless, the better for everyone. however, SLS should put checks in place to ensure finances are secure electronically.
