Hearme: December last year, Wada's convoy was involved in accident that killed his ADC and Wada himself broke his leg. Now Wada's convoy again has killed an erudite scholar.

He should better change his escorts or give them a firm warning orders or he himself will die soonest. I can remember how those escorts often drink at the slightest opportunity when at occasions.

Festus Iyayi - I am really sad about this, so sad.

He taught me Organizational Behavior in the University of Benin. Festus Iyayi and Francis Dimowo, unfortunately both late now were the most powerful influences in my academic life up till today. It was after the class in Organizational Behavior that I felt like a true graduate. The classes were like being in Harvard Business School. All his materials were foreign.

Writing his exams was fun. I remember he bought sweats and biscuit to share to us while in the exam hall; stating that he wants us to feel at home even in the exam hall. He introduced me to reading Harvard business review journals. With over 400 articles read so far, I have always excelled in business related issues - all because of Festus Iyayi.

As one of his best students, he wanted me to further in Human Resources but I declines as I was more kin on Operations Management and Information Technology. Festus Iyayi kept being a father to me still and I believe not just to me but to many others. I consider myself fortunate to have known Festus Iyayi.

Festus Iyayi - May it be Jehovah will to resurrect you on resurrection Day. Amen

How many more Nigerians would die from the recklessness of these ruiners (so-called leaders)? How else would these people be made to understand that every road user has a right to this facility (Nigerian roads). Isn't it time these people declare a sit-at-home, anytime a govt. official is passing on any of our roads? Why would the common men ( Govt. Drivers), be used to perpetuate injustice on other common road users? This matter would still go the way of others, and who knows who else had died today from the recklessness of Nigerian officials convoys?

A very unfortunate incident that has claimed a prominent scholars' life. I remember my close shaves with all these gov convoy road bullying methods, they just brush you off the road or worse still, face you while you need to swerve off the road to save yourself from an accident.
Even local govt chairmen are guilty of this as well.
May God continue to grant us journey mercies. RIP TO PROF, your contribution to this struggle shall never be in vain.

Adieu, Prof. Festus Iyayi, patriotic matyr to the cause. To his family, associates, the academia my heartfelt condolences.
Again his death begs the question the rationale why steps are not taken by Nigerians to help solve Nigeria's problems when they're opportuned to so do. N. Wike, the Minister of Education & I lost a year & some months in the 1990s as undergraduates at RSUST to the issues now highlighted in the course of this on~going round of ASUU strike, yet the end to it stays elusive.

ASUU call off the strike, but they refused. Fg give ASUU their money, but they refused. Instead, they prefer keeping innocent students at home and parents hope high. I hope this is an eye opener to them for taking the nation for granted. Is the Professor still going to enjoy his "earned" allowance? R.I.P anyway. Agwa nti ma onughi...

Surprisingly, his house is just a few house away from mine, and one of his sons was also my classmate in secondary school, as well as my course mate in Uniben. O boy see heavy traffic for front of his house dis morning. Different high class pple with high class vehicles litter all over d place. The place pack full, no where to drive through. It took over 15mins before I was able to scale through. Omo, to die as a big man good o shocked shocked shocked
