Nigerian Afrobeat super star has been nominated for a 4th Grammy Award. His latest album 'No Place for My Dream' was nominated in the Best World Music Category alongside 3 other artistes: Gypsy kings (Spanish), Ravi Shankar (Indian, died last year), Ladysmith Black Mambazo (South African Music group). He has been nominated on 3 occasions in the past: 2003 (Fight to Win), 2010 (Day by Day), 2012 (Africa for Africa). |

By far, the most prominent Nigerian artist recognized internationally, no disrespect to Asa, Nneka and Ade Bantu, Femi's lyrics are usually well articulated, his passion, energy and style would keep the nominations coming for a very long time in this category, I just hope he gets enough vote to finally break the yolk of the Grammy's for Nigeria.
