You all must have heard of the word 'Igbako', a yoruba word for a tool use to serve foods that require you to eat with your bare hands... The funny thing is that i have heard the English word for it.
What do you all think it?

Hmmm. Is it compulsory that you find the english word to every item? When you need to express it to a non-native call it 'igbako' and describe it. That's all

A friend of mine called an 'Igbako' a 'Scoop' in English, while the 'Omorogun' used in turning the Eba/Amala/Lafun/Iyan was called a 'Turnstick'.

I think these are appropriate words for both cooking utensils.

ciao

Your picture for the post display ikeko, and not igbako. It is plastic (ike) made, not igba (calabash) made. Albeit, zou already have an answer - 'calabash scoop'. 'Omorogun' is the wood with "knowledge of stiring and even-blend pounding." O se, Wa se awon orire!
