Carnival Calabar is the largest cultural festival in Africa with 50,000 costumed revellers, 2 million spectators and an audience of over 50 million television viewer.

OnNigeria photo trip is the best way to experience Calabar -Sightseeing that adds a whole new perspective to the carnival. Getting many creative people together, who all have the love of photography in common, is a great way to network, have fun and have the moments frozen in pix.

Meeting Point & How To Get There

Join a public transport to Calabar from your City. Our OnNigeria team will be in Calabar from 24th December to meet and receive you. They will be dressed in black OnNigeria T shirts with inscription "I LOVE PHOTOGRAPHY". Please confirm the point of your arrival so we can make arrangement for your pickup.

End of tour: 27th December, 2013


Important note:

As soon as you arrive, please be sure to register for a free press pass, accommodation and T Shirt. You are responsible for your transportation and feeding which is estimated at N20,000 depending on your location.


During this carnival tour, you will have the opportunity to take beautiful pictures of the following sights:

Tinapa Resort, Historical Creek Town, Mary Slessor's 1887 prefabricated house,

Marina Resort, Kwa Falls, Drill Ranch, National Park


Ending Point

Our tour ends at the National Stadium, right at the end of the carnival when the winners emerge. We will review your pictures over a few bottles of drinks and answer final questions.

Public transport will be available to take you back to your destination.
