A credible source in ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo’s camp told OluFamous.Com that Baba just laughed in his usual style after going through President Goodluck Jonathan’s response to him. The source say Obasanjo said the truth is well know to both him and Jonathan and that it would be good for him to take his message to heart and make the necessary amends before it is too late, as he had already warned him.
Obasanjo was said to have asked if the PDP has ever suffered the kind of loses it is suffering under the watch of President Jonathan. He warned that the PDP will soon be kicked out of power…
The source further added that Baba expected Jonathan to be more civil in his approach, rather than trying to in a subtle way copy the alleged wrong things he did while in office and ignore the good ones.
Obasanjo has insisted that he has all the facts about what he wrote and he may be tempted to expose more if in the next few months Jonathan do not change his ways.

Obasanjo is a drowning man. The useless Ota farmer thinks he can intimidate GEJ.

If opposition takes over, Obasanjo will be the first to go to jail.

Before is too late, but is already late for we to have a united nigeria.

Obasanjo has insisted that he has all the facts about what he wrote and he may be tempted to expose more if in the next few months Jonathan do not change his ways.

The whole thing is getting messier. However, I would suggest that Baba should give himself some measure of respect and allow the electorates (if there would be fair elections in 2015) to decide. Jonathan no doubt is a product of terrible counsel!

You guys should know OBJ is not after Nigeria's welfare but PDP. All he has been insisting is the "fall of PDP under GEJ term" nothing more.

What OBJ wanted from GEJ,was for him to use his power as the president of FRON to "magomago" the states elections PDP lost and GEJ has already said, let the best candidate win.

And to those saying,GEJ insinuated that OBJ killed his boss (lt Gen M. Muhammed) is a total misconception. Our minds are filled with mediocrity, pls read it very well. OBJ and danjuma were on dimka's (coup) assassination lists but were not killed due to the lack of total communication in the entire country that day. Before dimka was killed he confessed that, Gowon knew and gave him the permission when they met in london (the purpose of the coup was for Gowon to return to power). Don't you guys know Gowon was on exile in the UK and striped off his rank (absentia) and was wanted until shagari pardoned him in 19 something (forgotten the year). OBJ still stands and looking for who will correct him that , he knew about most of the coup but never took part in it. Lt Gen Muhammed was not assassinated because he wanted to retire most generals on corruption charges alone but was, so Gowon could get what was stolen (power) from him. Come to think of it, why would lt Gen M. Muhammed wanna retire his own boy (OBJ second in command) on corruption charges?. Do you guys wanna know why the north will be forever grateful to baba iyabo?. I think yes. Its because of the role he played after the assassination of his boss (muslim),who Gowon (xtain) wanted to take back what was stolen from him.

The fuss between ibo and hausa till today (which led to the civil war) started then.

Military coup d'état by a group of mostly Igbo junior officers under Major Chukwuma Kaduna Nzeogwu led to the overthrow of Nigeria's civilian government. In the course of this coup, mostly northern and western leaders were killed, including Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, Nigeria's Prime Minister; Sir Ahmadu Bello, Sardauna of Sokoto and Premier of the Northern Region; and Samuel Akintola, Premier of the Western Region, Lt Col Arthur Unegbe and so many more. The then Lieutenant Colonel Gowon returned from his course at the Joint Staff College, Latimer UK two days before the coup – a late arrival that possibly exempted him from the coupist hit list. Success in twentieth century world affairs since 1919 and the subsequent failure by Major General Johnson Aguiyi-Ironsi (who was the head of state following the January 1966 coup-with Gowon his Chief of Staff) to meet Northern demands for the prosecution of the coup plotters further inflamed Northern anger. It should be noted that there was significant support for the coup plotters from both the Eastern Region.

Later while Ironsi (igbo) was staying at Government House in Ibadan, northern troops led by Major Theophilus Danjuma and Captain Martin Adamu stormed the building, seized Ironsi and his host, Lieutenant Colonel Adekunle Fajuyi, and subsequently had the two men stripped naked, flogged and beaten, and finally shot. Other northern troops, led by Lieutenant Colonel Murtala Mohammed, the real leader of the counter-coup and who later succeeded Yakubu Gowon as head of state, then seized the Ikeja airport in Lagos. Several Igbo and Eastern minority officers were killed during the counter-coup.

The question is,if you were to point fingers at the person who killed murtala muhammed who would that be?. There is one thing the military never play with, its their LOYALTY. Every soldier then had a boss they were loyal to. OBJ was to Murtala ramat muhammed, abacha to IBB. You could see that when OBJ came into power back in 1999, he brought back Danjuma and made him his chief of security in Aso rock, that's loyalty.

OBJ is jealous that GEJ will eventually outshine him. Has any Nigerian President been able to beat this?

1) Between 1999 and 2007, OBJ attracted $24b in FDI but just under 3yrs GEJ has attracted over $25b and still counting . . .

2) From independence to 2010, Nigeria made it to the UN Security Council only thrice but under just three years of GEJ we've been elected twice.

3) 12 brand new Universities have been established by a three year old administration

Obasanjo should focus on handing back the Ota farm he stole from Nigerians back to the government. Ota farm was meant to be a project of operation feed the nation policy before the thief snatched it in his usual style.
