I didn't ask the definition of both words, I'm more interested in the differences. What do protestants do during their so called services which make them angry whenever I ask if they attended today's mass , they are always correcting me as if the word mass is unholy.

BTW thank you for the definitions

pope u dey shame me, the mass is d re-enactment/re-presentation of d sacrificial death of christ, bread and wine become his body and we partake of his sacrifice, it is offered to thank God for his goodness and for d good of d whole church.
Protestants dont believe in such thing, u cant ask a protestant hw was mass 'cos he didnt go to mass he went 4 service.

Re: Mass Vs Service by Nobody: 3:01pm On Jan 02, 2014
I currently stay with my uncle, and follows him to their church.
They use normal holy communion and red wine.
But they pour the wine inside small cup, like medicine(syrup) plastic cover and share to everybody including children after the Male and Female(including pastors wife) finish breaking it.

But, what irritated me was the day some fell on the ground and the usher that was sharing it mashed on it vigorously.
