Soldierboy30: Sir Allen I spoke with my friend in malaysia about relocating to malaysia to work/school am an ssce holder 23years of age left sch2009. I have roffly a million in my account I will be sponsoring my stay/school over there. He told me there is job but just wount tell me what sort it is keeps telling me until I come he will get me 1. Sir please what's your honest advice.

There is no job here for Africans that much especially Nigerians unless you are applying from Nigeria and must be a guru in ur profession. There is no minimal job here for Africans even road cleaning job, coming to Malaysia with 1 million won't take you anywhere as school fees alone for is 750k per year or let's take college which charges 500k upwards, please ask your friend where he or she's working and please don't come here on a visitors visa as you will leave here after 2wks, which If you are a visitor is ok but to stay u need a student visa which that your 1 million won't take you anywhere, school processing an school fees will cost you more and with flight ticket you will need more. So ask your friend what he is doing here and please don't come here if you are not well to do unless you want to do yahoo yahoo

To be honest tell ur footballer friend to try Europe in football as here in Malaysia, footballers are hungry and the salary is not something u waste ur cash and resources.Europe is better than here I mean countries like Slovakia and others are much better in terms of football. As for school you have to follow the due process of (1) search for a school here (2) apply with your waec, scratch card, NOC from federal ministry of education Abuja, (3) wait 2-3months for your student visa immigration approval(4) after ur approval take it to Malaysia embassy for visa which takes 7 days excluding Saturday and Sunday (5) pay visa fee which is not more than 10k (6) book ur one way ticket to Malaysia and (7) pay ur 4k dollars school fees per year as soon as u arrive KL international airport and finally no Job here for students and you need 1000$ to spend per month includes rent for ur 1 bedroom shared apartment, then feeding, clothing, books, little shopping, bills and no savings

If you are coming to Malaysia, you are highly welcome as Malaysia is a friendly, accommodating and nice country to study, live & work if you can afford the requirements but then let me go straight to studying here in Malaysia and the best way to go about it:

(1) You have to make up your mind first where to study
(2) You have to check and see if you have the requirements, I mean your educational requirements
(3) Money, Money, Money, everything here is about Money but bet me you wont regret coming here as things are much more affordable like you can feed on 50 ringgit ( 2500 naira ) like McDonald meal of 2 chicken, 2 burger, coke, fries and you still have a change, likewise Kfc, burger king, nandos, name it, also you can eat good food like rice, vegetable, chicken, or beef with such and still have change, African food is expensive but with 50 rm ( 2500) you will eat your favorite African food and still have change, maybe with a bottle of beer
(4). THERE IS NO JOB HERE FOR STUDENTS, EVEN AFRICANS, ANYBODY TELLING YOU THERE IS JOB FOR AFRICANS AND STUDENTS HERE IS JUST DECEIVING YOU. YOU ONLY GET JOB IF YOU APPLIED FROM NIGERIA, OR YOU ARE A GURU IN YOUR PROFESSION, 1 IN 20 APPLICANTS.

(5) Now how to go about admission into a university, a university degree here is 3 years, 4 years engineering, 5 years Medicine, nursing and others

School Fees: Undergraduate ranges from 600k Naira( 12k ringgit)-60,000 ringgit ( 3 million ) Masters ranges from 20,000 ringgit (1million naira) - 40k ringgit ( 2 million naira) all these are per year

(1) Google a university in KL Malaysia, apply with photocopies of all your passport pages, waec results, waec scratch card, you have to notarized your results in the Ministry of Foreign affairs nigeria or ministry of education, then obtain an NOC from the same ministry of education

(2) Submit all your documents to the school either through DHL, fedex, sending through email or if possible if you have someone here to submit on your behalf.

(3) Pay application and processing fee which is not more than 700$ to the school bank account through TT transfer

(4) After submitting your application and payment of the application fee, the school will notify you

(5) You have to wait for 1-3 months for your student visa approval from Malaysian Immigration and EMGS

(6) Once your approval is out, the school will contact you but you have to be calling to know your application status

(7) The school will send the approval to you through post and once you receive it, take it to Abuja Malaysian embassy with your approval and original passport then pay 10k visa fee and go to come back after 7 days excluding Saturday and Sunday for your visa

(cool prepare yourself, book your ticket and inform the school on time about your arrival, Ethiopian airline is the cheapest for a student

(9) Malaysia is approximately 14-15hours from Nija

(10) arrive Malaysia call your school number for pick up

(11) You have to pay your first year school fees before the school will accept to bring you in

NEXT TIME ASK ME ABOUT ACCOMMODATION, FEEDING, TRANSPORTATION, LIFE STYLE AND ANYTHING YOU WISH TO KNOW

Soldierboy30: Sir your information is helpfull, I wish to enquire about ACCOMMODATION, FEEDING,
TRANSPORTATION, LIFE STYLE over there as well as the cheapest colledge and university over there. Thank you for the informations.

Accommodation is cheap, I mean you can get a 20-40-story condominium 2-3 bedroom apartment with Swimming pool/well equipped gym, mini sport center, play ground, mini-mart, sometimes furnished, unfurnished and empty depending on your choice and areas you want to live for 1500MYR (75k) a month minimum, this price depend on your choice, like outskirt of the city center like Cheras, Taman Desa, which is 10-15-mins drive to the city center, then Kota Damansara, where you have much of the universities and 5 star luxury apartment starts from 1800, sometimes 1500 per month minimum. But as a student I'll advise you to share with other students, which at minimum you pay minimum 600 (30k) per month.

Utility Bills, There is 24hrs electricity with low electricity bill, 4g internet, 24 hours water supply, that should not be a problem, for instance you are sharing an apartment with 2 + U = 3 Students, then budget at least 50 ringgit(2500 naira) minimum as your contribution for electricity, then internet if you are using TM is cheaper and DIGI, MAXIS, CELCOM P1 also cheaper so you budget extra 50RM for internet and like 5 ringgit(250naira) for water

Feeding: Very cheap you dont need to think much about that, very cheap than Nigeria, I mean healthy food, very very cheap, if you know how to cook, then 100RM(5000naira) is ok for a month or more, then if you're the Junk food type then be ready but still cheap.

A bottled water the small one buying from 7/11 mart = 1-2 ringgit ( 50-100 naira) the big one is 3-5RM ( not more than 250 naira)
A cartoon of bottled water(12 bottles)( 1500ml)= from 8-12ringgit
Coke 1.5L---------------------------------------4 ringgit
Juice.............................................................3-4
Beer..............................................................5-10
Full chicken.....................................................5-7
Mcdonalds a meal..............................................7-10
KFC.................................................................5-10
and others but believe me food, anything eatable is very very cheap than Nigeria

Lifestyle: Depends on you but as a student you need to live a low life style else 10k$ will not be enough but you can club, hang out with like 10k minimum depending, but if you are the clubbing and late night type then be ready to spend as Malaysia is 24-hrs balling, no dull moment if you have all your papers and try to avoid Black clubs but breezing in once in a while, night clubs are much here, shopping is cheap, very cheap, you can get a top in zara for 100rm ( 5k) likewise a jean. chinos and shoe will cost you from 200rm( 10k) zara minimum, but during sells like ramadan period you can shop enough with 500-600( 30k)

College/University, I will advise University and cheapest Lincoln University PJ( 600k per year) 15-20mins drive from the City Center, PJ is a well developed city outskirt of the city center

Hope this is ok for now, ask me more

For one year.

Aside School Bills you have to consider accommodation and lets take a shared apartment of one room, which will cost you 700-800(35-40k) including utility bills then feeding for one month if you know how to cook, budget 300 (15k) then other things 400, lets take everything per month as 1500 ( 75k). Cant give you exact figure for a year as your spending varies

I have a mature friend of 30+ years of age who has never been to university before but has been searching for an affordable oversea admission for quite sometimes now. He has only his WAEC result. What is the possibility of him getting admission in Malaysia without his age being a barrier? Thanks.

You have to go through Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC), they usually announce their seminars, key events (lectures, training etc) and Nigerians do come for exact the same thing but I think you have to contact them because all the Nigerians and other Africans have seen were officially invited.

Their programs and dates are announce on their website http://www.mpoc.org.my/

True that.

My question is this: what's the take on converting
social visit to student visa now?

There was a time they do it well; then it came to a time
it stopped and now, what's the current situation?

Currently it is not possible to convert social visa to student visa. All visa application has to go through EMGS for approval.

lol you dont understand, i have a 3 month visa..i intend to stay a month. i have no interest in extending pass the 3 months visa lol that dangerous, i want to extend within the legal 3 months visa. i was told that if i want to be stamped in i will book 2 weeks on my flight and when i enter i can change flight date but within my visa period.

And in your mind you actually think I don't understand? Guy, listen and listen careful, you can never ever extend 2 weeks stamped on 3 months social visa.

The 2 weeks nullified the 3 months, please be careful because if that two weeks expire. You will be in serious trouble, don't listen to whoever is telling you what you stated above. You can always write Malaysia immigration or even their embassy where you got the visa.
