Mr. Esoorita, we can pray and hope as much as we want; there is always going to be a cyber-attack or attempt of such.
But to actually see that the last good backup of the famous Nairaland goes back to Jan. 10 (almost 6 months), is not a good thing, and my faith is really shaken.. We will never get 100% replacement of what has been lost unless Nairaland restored it.

Note: Thank you Spyder880 for your attempts at restoring the older pictures, but this may proof to be fulltime job for you.

Let me start with this thread, please note that its not all my files that are still intact, I will be updating with the pictures still in my systems.

We continued this project by rolling away tree stems which had been felled, uprooting stumps from the ground and generally pulling every foreign object out.

The Spyder team, working as a team

Then we pegged the land, marking out the building position for the house according to the plans of the house.

We have agile young men in this team, and they descended into the site and started cutting out trenches, forming the foundation.

Before long we had our foundation trenches, observing the hard stony bedrock of Enugu soil.

In sites we could find them, I always prefare the 'double star' brand of iron rods manufactured in Ota Ogun state by Federated steel products. They are usually more expensive and many dealers shy away from bringing them. I secured them for this site at a premium.

By the next week, we started standing the column rods, obeying the building specifications to the letter.

We sustained the tempo by bringing in sand, stones and cement, water etc to really push this project forward.

We are growing everyday, we now buy cement in trailer loads

If time could permit me, I would have recounted how we built the metal supports we tried to use so we can replace the use of wood in lintel and column casting....... another day sha.

We started the filling of this compound with laterite soil.

This foundation must fill up, we even hijacked sand loads from some construction companies...
