As we all know facebook make its
money from adverts. whatapps and 2go are mobile applications and we know
they do earn money but my question
is how? Apart from d 2go credit 2go sells and other short code service and whatsapp placed a price of 0.99$ which I haven't paid since I started using whatsapp 2years ago. What other means do they earn as a mobile app company

2go is into adverts now, can't u see Omawunmi advertising Konga on 2go? N d Toyota stuff one time ago, they are into adverts too but i don't know about Whatapp

2go makes alot of money from gocredits and of recent, 2go has introduced adverts into their app. Go to the 2go rooms and you will see some of these3 adverts. Those guys make millions from these adverts. It is just that we are not too careful to observe this.

There are many ways they will be earning money:
1. If the apps is networkcentric, then the network provider and the apps owner would have defined benefits within a contract. Which could mean while the apps is free, you will incur cost on data use for download and continuous usage of the application, the apps owner will be getting an agreed share of that, in some cases it could be a one of payment....Even if the apps is not free...a sharing formular would have been agreed.
2. No of positive hits could be another. Apps on playstore for example don't just get in there, play store team will have reached an agreement with the apps developer.

Well, they will try to gather large number of followers, in most case, as TWITTER did and then later start doing adverts. The ultimate for everyone online is to make money now or later. Their freebies, registration, etc, is just to keep people hooked on them.
