I have a Mercedes benz ML 320 2000 model. some days ago i started the car to go to work and the gear is not changing when u shift on D. it keeps howling and the car gets overheated. i checked the gear oil and it was short so i topped it up with about 5L of AT fluid but still its not changing. Im afraid Ive to buy another gearbox. Pls help. wat do i do?

I think you should include the little things that had been happening days before, and how long check engine light had been on.

The check engine light was on for 3 days. I went on to service the car but the light was still on. Then I noticed the pulling force from the gear was decreasing. The car was dragging for long before changing until all of a sudden it stopped changing at all.
Can anyone help me on were I can get a replacement of the gearbox in Lagos? I reside in Abuja.

Please professionals in the house i need your advice, i have a nissan altima 1999, recently i observed that the check engine light comes on and dont go off easily,just services the car a month ago.Also the slow running is faulty as it flnctuate and goes off when the engine is idling or in hold up. i hear cranking noise too and someone suggested it might be timmimg chain.i replaced the fuel pump no quite long and im not sure its still working fine. pls wht do u advise, how can i get a nissan altima specialist in lagos? the car is AT
