If you preach righteousness and truth then you would not be telling us this lie that "The lord's chosen" is the best church in the world. A church set up as a business concern to make money for the promoters ( why are your church leaders quarelling in court today?), can you imagine best church indeed   Anyway it is obvious that your church is just interested in enlisting more members so that your promoters can make more money and not winning souls for christ. all this talk about converting people to chrictianity is just a cover up for the real money making motive of your church. A church that focuses more on it's self and promotes it's self as the best church cannot possibly be doing the will of God A church should focus more on the gospel and not promoting it's brand name . What seems a holy war is gradually brewing between two revered men of God, who oversee some of the biggest and crowd pulling new generation churches in the city of Lagos.

The feud which has the trappings of battle of the titans is between the General Overseer of Lord Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministry, Pastor Lazarus Muoka and the trendy and charismatic overseer of Christ Chosen Generation Revival Ministry, Pastor Eze Nnamdi Ofoegbu.

Twice, Ofoegbu had been “invited” to the office of the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 2 Command Onikan over allegations of threats to the life of Muoka.

The first letter, dated November 29, 2006 and signed by one M. Adisa (DSP) on behalf of the Deputy Commissioner of Police (CID) while the other dated January 24, 2007 was signed by one Emmanuel Ogolo (SP) for the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 2, Onikan. Ofoegbu was” required in the name of the president, Federal Republic of Nigeria to report to the zonal criminal and intelligence Bureau Office… to answer to allegations of threat to life by you against very important persons including the General overseer of the Lord Chosen Charismatic Revival Church.”

Ofoegbu has cried foul to all these, alleging that Muoka was after him using the police with trump-up charges simply because they parted ways sometime in September 2006. He broke away from Muoka’s church to establish his own in Festac, in response to the call of God.

Following the series of invitations from the police, Ofoegbu has picked the gauntlet and has written a two-page letter to Muoka dated December 7, 2007, titled” letter of notification/demand for refund.” Ofoegbu is demanding the sum of N317 million from his former pastor (Muoka) being what he sank into the church from inception up to the time they parted ways. He says it was an investment, based on an unwritten agreement between them. He has also taken his case to the EFCC.

“What I am asking for is the fulfillment of the agreement we both entered into, an investment into the work of God for which there will be profit and returns. We both agreed that I invest my life savings and that we are going to reap it many fold when the time comes. I believed him and I invested all that I had including the one that did not belong to me. When the time of harvest came he started finding faults with me to embarrass me and frustrate me out of the church.

A man invests with the hope of reaping, I started investing in this project since 2004. From that time till when I left I had invested over N300m, that expanse of land where the church is today and the fleet of luxury buses you see there are part of the investments, the planting of the church in Dubai, United Arab Emirate, Abidjan, Ikoyi and Ibadan are also part of the investments. These are aside the series of crusades we held across the country and beyond.”

Does a Christian or anybody, demand for a refund of what he has done for God? Hear Ofoegbu: “I am not asking for what I have given to the Lord, far from it. If you have given to the Lord, you have given to the Lord. What you give to the Lord are tithes, and offerings in different forms.
Nobody goes back to say I want my offering back or I want my tithes back, no. If you give these to the house of God, you have given to the Lord.”

“I only mention these because these are the areas. Where he said I should go ahead and put money and that the church was going to refund me. There are so many other areas like advertising in print and electronic media which I cannot really go into now. It got to a point when I had spent virtually what I had, in fact, it was like he hypnotized me, he cast a spell on me whereby I was pumping money into the church foolishly, now the scales have fallen off my eyes, I now realize my folly”.

In the letter to Muoka, Ofoegbu pointedly told him that” I wish to notify you that the spell is broken. I am awake to a realization that it was not normal and I hereby demand for a refund, especially for the repayment of the money of my partner from you and your organization.”

The raging Ofoegbu added that” I want the EFCC to intervene in this matter, infact, I have done a petition which I intend to forward to them next week because there are a lot of people these day who dupe and hypnotize innocent people in the name of God. The victims are mostly rich people in the society. I think, this should be checked.” All efforts to make Muoka react proved abortive; his aides were not ready to volunteer information when contacted on their cell phones.

But isn't all that titheing an investment. Tell me, which of those burnt again christian give money in church (seeding) without hope of getting a return. I guess life is a gamble, there are risky investments and then there are more secure investments. One cannot go to any stock exchange and demand one's money back if the market crashes, so it should be with all these churches.

You cannot call yourself a chosen of our Lord Jesus Christ when u are still in sin. Chosen is blessed by the Most High God and shall never be cursed. Too much criticism, so it is in the time of JESUS. no be today!

The day it was published in The Sun newspaper last year that Pastor Muoka was arrested, pastor was in the church preaching when he saw the article. And there was no arrest made at anytime.

Most of the news published in The Sun, National Enconium, Global Excellence, and other gossip magazines are usually based on rumours or dem say. Only very few of the stories are true.

I want to say that the EFCC can only make arrests when they have genuine physical evidence. If the so called pastor making the accusation is so sure of himself, let him present evidence instead of going from one publishing house to another telling false tales.

I cannot accused Pastor Muoka, or another pastor in Nigeria or around the world of anything they are doing against the will of God when I know I dont have any evidence to show they are false prophets. The servant in the Lord Pastor Muoka is a good preacher. I see nothing against him. He preaches holiness and righteousness.

There are no business partners/investors involved. Maybe you have not been following.

The person involved here is a former pastor in The Lord's Chosen called Pastor Ofuegbu. In a video testimony recorded during a Sunday service dated 4th April 2004, Pastor Ofuegbu said that he was a former occultic member and that his business collapsed which made him to be a pauper. So he seeked for God's grace by coming to The Lord's Chosen where he got his salvation. So Bro. Ofuegbu became a worker then a pastor in the church and was posted to the Ibadan branch of The Lord's Chosen.

During his stay in Ibadan, he was caught commiting adultery with female members of the church and was suspended until further notice. Pastor Ofuegbu became angry and said that he has people in media houses and that he will blackmail the church. So Pastor Ofuegbu set up his own church called Christ Chosen and went from one media house to another telling some funny story about Pastor Muoka owning him a certain amount of money and that the Land he acquired it for the church.

My advice to Pastor Ofuegbu is to concentrate more on his church.

Fraudsters/419ers are known for lying, deceiving people and blackmailing.

I don't want to divert too much from the topic.

My dear, most people that profess christianity including pastors and preachers don't know what "The church" means. if they did we won't be talking of denominations (over 30,000 world wide) today.

Which court case? There is no court case as far as I'm concerned. Someone cannot go to court without evidence.

Maybe it is the subject I used for this topic. There is too much pride in it. I apologize for using such a subject. We don't show pride in the church.

Instead of sitting down in front of your computer and criticising, why don't you come to these programmes and witness the power of God moving in the lives of believers.

You see my problem with your church is that it is tooo focused on the church itself and not on the gospel of christ. The church gives an impression that they have an exclusive God and that all your problems would be solved once you are member of the church. this is contrary to the true gospel of christ.

Kunle, in fact its like that in so many other places.

I dont blame "pastor" Ofoegbu. Every shareholder expects some form of return on his stock investments in any business.

This was Jesus' prayer for the church - and hence God's will. Here we are, "believers" that we say we are, bickering over which church is "good" and which church is "better". Are we acting according to God's will?
