Todd Mitchell Palin (born September 6, 1964)[3] is an American oil field production operator and the current First Gentleman (self-styled "First Dude" of Alaska. He is the husband of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, the 2008 Vice Presidential nominee of the Republican Party.

Todd Palin was born in Dillingham, Alaska, to Jim Palin and his first wife, Blanche Kallstrom. His father, a native of Seattle, Washington, is a former general manager of Matanuska Electrical Association. His mother, a former secretary of the Alaska Federation of Natives, is one-quarter Yup'ik, and his maternal grandmother, Lena Andre, is a member of the Curyung tribe.
Todd Palin has taken some college courses but does not have a degree.
In 1984, at the age of 20, Palin was arrested for driving under the influence.[9] No accident and no injuries were involved in the events leading to his arrest

Palin is a union member belonging to the United Steel, Paper and Forestry, Rubber, Manufacturing, Energy, Allied Industrial and Service Workers International Union (United Steelworkers).

For 18 years, he worked for BP in the North Slope oil fields of Alaska. In 2007, in order to avoid a conflict of interest relating to his wife's position as governor, he took a leave from his job as production supervisor when his employer became involved in natural gas pipeline negotiations with his wife's administration. Seven months later, because the family needed more income, Todd returned to BP. In order to avoid potential conflict of interest, this time he accepted a non-management position as a production operator.

He is also a commercial salmon fisherman at Bristol Bay on the Nushugak River. Financial statements filed in 2007 show that Palin earned $92,790 from BP and fishing.

Palin first registered to vote in 1989. From 1995 to 2002 he was registered to vote as a member of the Alaskan Independence Party. In late August 2008, The Politico reported that Palin was registered to vote as an independent ("undeclared", and had never registered as a Republican. In early September 2008, a spokesman for John McCain said Palin was now a registered Republican.

As First Gentleman, Palin has encouraged young Alaskans who cannot afford college to consider jobs in the oil and gas industry as an effective training ground and has advised the Governor on workforce development issues for the natural gas pipeline she supports. He is a community volunteer working in youth sports, coaching hockey and basketball.

Gregg Erickson, columnist for the Anchorage Daily News, said that Palin "obviously plays an important role ,  I've seen him in the governor's office, and I know she's conducted interviews in the governor's office with him present." Palin is copied on e-mails dealing with official state business. He helped write the state budget, has been involved in personnel matters, and has called lawmakers when he or his wife have disagreed with what they have done.

Ok so we can see that Todd Palin is a partially educated good old boy who drives around in a Chevy pickup, reaching back to his rifle-rack to drop the occasional jay-walking deer, but what really intrigues ENQUIRING MINDS is all those cute little illegitimate babies regularly being popped out by Todd and Sarah's mentally challenged daughters.

Specifically we are dying to hear what role those out-of-wedlock babies might have in the Washington administration, when Sarah Palin finally lands a plum job as a White House intern in the year 2020.

It is extremely sad to see the despicable downfall of a great country.
Pretty soon, we shall all witness a train conductor (high school drop-out) running for presidential spot in USA. I guess, it is true when folks say "only in America".

Now that the economic crisis in United States is starting to affect everyone not only across the country, but worldwide; it is scary that some individuals still haven't realized that at this point, United States of America doesn't need another reckless dumbo to take over the whitehouse.
It is critically necessary to elect a completely competent and sincere president, who has the knowledge and integrity to effectively tackle all these enormous challenges United States of America is currently up against.

There is absolutely no way to expect a mere bus conductor to perform well as a medical doctor: This is the scope level of the difference between Obama/Biden and McCain/Palin. The difference between these 2 parties is simple and pretty much clear like a day and night.
As well as disturbing I also find it very sad that one would still be willingly supporting McPalin at this point in USA. I just wish to know what exactly it would take for these blockheads to wake up from this illogical state of mind.

For the past 10 days, Sen John McCain has clearly displayed an image of an unknowledgeable confused angry-man. He has changed his stance on economic crisis more than 7 times, all within a week.
In-fact, it has also been confirmed that John McCain's campaign manager, Rick Davis (a well paid Washington Lobbyist) was paid by Fannie-Mae up until last month to keep him happy until McCain became president, and then Fannie and Freddie could call in favors; the favors that would further deteriorate standard of living of average Americans.

If Obama doesn't win this election on Nov 4th 2008, it would be a real black Tuesday (worst than October 29, 1929), and I'm very sure that the entire world would feel the effect "negatively".
