A ritualist den owned by one Pastor Ernest Nwankwo, the
General overseer of Holy Family Ministry a.k.a House of Mercy
who always hold special program every Tuesday of the week
and every last Friday of the month was yesterday June 25th
uncovered at Majidun-Ogolonto area, Lagos Road Ikorodu, with
8 victims rescued.
According to sources, the den was discovered after a failed
attempt by one of the member of the church Mrs. Rosemary
Chukwu kidnapped her neighbor’s 7-year-old son, Emeka
Emmanuel to the den for rituals.
Sources around said around 6.00am yesterday, Mrs Rosemary
lured the 7-year-old boy who was sent to fetch water from a
well down the road and took him to her house and locked him
in the toilet. To keep her neighbors including the boys parents
from hearing the little boy’s screams for help, Rosemary then
instructed her own children to begin to pray which they did,
shouting on top of their voices.
Trouble however started when the little boy;s mother who stays
four buildings from Mrs Rosemary raised alarm that she can not
find her son. A search was said to have began which the
Kidnapper Mrs. Rosemary was even part of. Few minutes into
the search Mrs. Rosemary was said to have excused herself,
went into her house and came out with a box on her head,
saying she was traveling. The area boys who were also part of
the search suspected foul play and instructed Mrs. Rosemary to
put down the suitcase on her head and it was opened and the
unconscious body of the 7-year-old boy was discovered.
The area boy descended on Mrs. Rosemary, stripped her naked,
interrogated her and she confessed it was her pastor who sent
her. and the area boys followed her to the church and saw the
pastor waiting for her but when the pastor sighted the crowed,
he took to his heels. The angry mob destroyed the chairs and
something’s in the church even a car on front of the church that
is suspected to be the pastors car.
They forced opened a door to a building behind the church in
the process of chasing the pastor and burning some part of the
church building to their surprise, men and women, eight in
number, chained and looking frail were found in the building.
It was also reported that there is always a chained mad man in
front of the church and the church do not hold service on
Sundays.
Police Sources confirmed the arrest of Mrs. Rosemary Chukwu
but the pastor is still on the run..
