Hello, I noticed some noise when i driving my car , especially when I entered a potholes or a sloopy kind of road, you know all those sounds, not so car friendly noise, I don't know the best way to describe it , I took my car to the mechanics, he said I might have to change my Shock absorber and ball joint which I paid for , but after the fixing. I still noticed the fault has not been fixed, so I took it back to him, he took me the noise was coming from my steering, please I want to know if its a mechanic work to work on car steering or I have to take it to Rewire place for checking, please don't ignore
take it to a decent mechanic for diagnosis

Dear Gazzuzz, Ikenna, Radautoworks and other gurus in the house.

I have issue with my 2001 v6 Toyota Camry gearbox not selecting when it engaged in D and it works perfectly on 05/07/2021 before it developed the issue of not selecting gear on 06/07/2021.

Kindly enlighten me on the gearbox which i can inform my technician because i am so worried because the car aid my movement around PH.

Help a bro, resources is scarce now.

Not a relay, a relay needs a voltage feed to operate.

Mechanic is most likely correct.

The rack and steering column get faulty after a while (couple of years) especially on bad roads

This what e said too, he said it might be to bad road, please did you have rough estimations of how much it might cost to fix it , the car is kia optima 2013

Good I was correct.



Differentiate between a faulty steering rack and a column


For the column I will advise you find a specialist, it can be repaired with a kit IF IT IS BAD. The rack you will need to replace it IF bad.

Your mechanic is not experienced in this matter.

Good morning car guru in the house.
I drive a 2008 toyota camry with the I4 engine.
Car has been driving well until I noticed something 2days ago.
I have the keys to a friend to drive and upon acceleration I noticed white smoke coming out of the exhaust.
So this smoke doesn't come out on idle it only comes out when I hit the gas.
NB: the car was serviced last month.

What might be the issue??

Expect oil burn, Expect converted AC compressor.

Apart from that nothing special. Apply due diligence , go with a technician that knows what to look out for.
