As usual,Govt will abandon Calabar stadium for this new Akwa Ibom Stadium.It will become the new match venue for Eagles and afterwards,Calabar's rot will set in and maybe the new stadium will follow the same fate.Above all,the stadium looks too unique.That is indeed a nice edifice.

The governor is planning to commission it on the 23rd of September which coincides with the state's anniversary. It will be ready come September as the work is speedily in progress.

Cool!! BUT the main issue is MAINTENANCE - won't be surprised to see it fall apart a year after construction due to our VERY poor maintenance culture.
