I am sending a 2001 Nissan Xterra SE to Naija. The pictures are attached. It should be in Niaja by December. Just wondering what the going price for such is now and if anyone will be ready here to buy it. I am leaning towards N1.8m.

I bought it off of someone who's owned it for 4 years and have put about 40,000 miles on it. The title of the car shows it is a "prior salvage". What that means is that it has an accident history and was repaired and considered road worthy. The guy gave me all the papers of the repairs that were done.

At this moment, the CD player is bad and I plan to replace it before shipping. I also intend to install a DVD system into it. This I would probably do this weekend and have it shipped by next week. OTher than these, the car is in excellent condition. I've personally put about 200 miles into it with absolutely no issues. I am actually tempted to keep it and ship my Lincoln Navigator, but my wife reminded me that the Navigator meets the family needs better than the Xterra.

Sorry that can't happen. That is our back-up/pool car. It is a 2000 Daewoo Lanos which we bought new. The market value does not compensate for the work it does. It is actually a very reliable car with very very low maintenance.

Thanks for the offer but it won't fly. Someone already offered me N1.6m, which is why I wanted to confirm on nairaland if it was a good price. My intention was to sell for N1.8m or best offer. As it is, the N1.6m so far carries the day.

That gives a total landing price in Naija to be about $13,400 which is equivalent to N1.61m. With my mark-up for profit, N1.8m sounds good. However, considering this is a "prior salvage", I could take out N100,000 and sell for about N1.7m. My calculation sounds reasonable? Expect it to arrive Decemebr. No problem with the bargaining as long as you will offer at least 50 kobo above the N1.6m offer I have already.
